DRDO claim on LCA export premature: Former top IAF officers

Eight pages of dicussions and no one thanked the opening article? If thread is started in the right section and according the forum rules, we should show our appreciation to the thread starter, no matter if we agree or disagree to the news. A forum like this lives on the topics that are availble to discuss and the least we can do is, to give a thanks right?

On topic, I couldn't agree more on the officers! Sadly DRDO has not improved with the new head, which shows the be as addicted to media attention as his predecessor, with as much BS!

And yes i claimed that LCA is not exportable yet..... didn't I?
Your officers have stamped my claim.
Thats their personal views. IAF will obviously want the aircraft for themselves before anyone else. Previously DRDO has exported product before Indian forces started using them. LCA flies at day, night, adverse conditions, fires BVRAAMs,drops bombs etc. So,it has proven itself as a capable 4th gen aircraft, which has export potential.

I believe in their personal views as they are no ordinary "persons". They are officers of an elite class of soldiers, here in Pakistan i know how tough it is to become a pilot and have found them to be the most sophisticated among our forces. Anything they say has a though process behind it. And please if you're disowning statements of your officers then their training and all the funds spent on them are a question mark. LCA has export potential? ok we'll see, i wish you good luck on that.

No they aren't they are showing the fact that it's just silly to claim LCA could be exported at this point, before it's even fully developed. The whole world knows that it has several performance issues and therefore anybody will wait till they are solved and the fighter went into operational service in the Indian forces to see what it really can do and how reliable is.
All DRDO shows is, that they are following only their own interests (exports = earning money) and not the interest of the defence of the country (delivering the fighters IAF needs for the safty of India and also their pilots, that kept flying in unsafe Migs for all the delayed years).

Hope you continue to show the same level of respect to our men in uniform.
