DRDO builds propulsion system, may be fitted into Scorpene subs

I'm not talking about his prejudice or mine, I'm talking about yours.
For all we know he IS a Pak troll false flagging all over the place that doesn't give you the right to put Indian muslims in the same boat as the Pakistanis.
And again, his quotes about the AIP are wrong.

Unless you think of him as the spokes person for Indian muslim, I do not see what the problem is.

He posts devnagri script, it is unlikely a pakistan can do that, then again there is always google to help him out.

DRDO has been working on their version of AIP since 2003, long before the materialization of Scorpene deal, and the prototype is operational since 2009.

Same year as the production of the Scorpenes started, which shows why it was silly to wait for DRDOs AIP to finish it's development and be proven. Now only the last 2 subs can get AIP, while we could have at least 4 subs with the MESMA AIP and simply could had integrated the DRDO one into the P75I order. Once again insisting on DRDO's engine / propulsion delays makes our forces less capable.

I heard the last time that DRDO Sterling Engine AIP even not giving expected result to be even fitted out in last 2 subs.

Maybe during first refit, all the sub will get MESMA AIP.

News report is misleading. This "AIP" propulsion is not DRDO made. DRDO has no such R&D, funds and technology.

This DRDO-made "AIP" is actually based on ready-made parts(components) provided by French company. DRDO is "assembler", not "maker" of AIP.

Building such propulsion system(प्रज्वलन संयंत्र) requires heavy decades long research. DRDO never invested in this. If they had, this news would be in National breakthrough similar to ISRO's cryogenic engines. Also, if DRDO had such propulsion, they would rather test it in Indian submarine, not French-made submarine because no nation tests their latest R&D into a foreign system.

Also, i have serious doubts about nuclear tests of 1998. In my opinion, india doesn't have any nuclear bomb. They just imported few bombs from Russia and exploded in ground, to make world fool.

LOL, ok can you give me OEM details?

Any source?

It's not an easy refit to add an AIP afterwards, because you have to cut the sub in 2 pieces again, add a seperate module that houses the AIP and then weld everything together again. If something goes wrong during this major change, the sub can face leakage or other problems, as reported during similar modifications of U209 subs with U214s AIP.

It was almost a year, when I read that news. It is now bit difficult to find that news, but I try to find that source.

But isnt that was much easier that we install the MESMA AIP in first four, and in last two try out the DRDO developed AIP. There is no sense in not installing the AIP in first four.
