Dr. A.Q Khan passed away

The Pakistan Defence forum management would like to express deep sorrow for the death of Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan.
Dr. A.Q Khan was a Pakistani nuclear scientist because of whom we stand here today as a proud and powerful nation. He had also established educational institutions and wrote several books. He also published research papers on spread of nuclear technology .We would like to express deep condolences to his friends and family.

Each one of us has lost a family member and a father figure with the departure of AQ Khan. Very few individuals impact societies on such transcendental spectrum of their core existence. Even fewer make it to reveration of being an example for generations born decades later.

Pakistan changed with AQ Khan's life and shall change with his departure. Long after our own demise, mothers in Pakistan would tell their children to be like the Mohsen ul Mulk.

May Allahs mercy be showered upon his soul.

A great journey of a Great man ends today. A journey started from Bhopal, then crossing the red cliff line in 1952. And after graduation, on govt scholarship leaves for Germany , then Belgium , then Holland. Then through the corridors of Urenco, he continues his journey. Suddenly he enter into Pakistan nuclear weapons program , where he uses his experience of centrifuge method of Uranium enrichment of Urenco. He made us nuclear weapon state, a country who was defeated a decade ago(1971).
And in one decade we become world 7th nuclear weapon state(1981 we had bomb grade Uranium).
Then he continues his services for different military grade programs. Then 1998 we conduct nuclear test.
Then we force him to retire.
He face the allegations from govt. He came on state TV and accepted all the allegations ( he did or not that's a separate debate). We forced him in shape of house arrest. That was reward for his hard work for country.
He work for strengthening the defence of the country.
May Allah shower his blessings upon Dr. abdul Qadeer Khan.Ameen

Rightful obituary!
He could have done more after nuclear bomb. His major skills were metallurgy which is key for turbofan engines and all high temperature engineering applications. He could be given task of producing a turbofan engine. In twenty years a viable turbofan engine could be in service and JFT might be flying with it and T-129 could also had a Pakistani engine.

A controversial figure with massive contribution along with others. Whose commercialization of proprietary secret technology I could never agree with but that will always be for history to judge. Not for this kid who sat on his lap for a photo back in the late 80s. May Allah grant him the best.
