MOSCOW, June 8. /TASS/. G7 nations, gripped by mass protests over the murder of George Floyd, an African-American Minneapolis man, who was choked to death by police in the United States, have no right to lecture China on its Hong Kong policy, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote on her Facebook page.

"So, after all this worldwide shame of the dysfunctional liberal-democratic system, where only weapons could fill the role of all four failed branches of power, they have decided to teach China how to run their country," Zakharova said commenting on the G7’s plans to draft a joint statement on the situation in Hong Kong.

Earlier on Monday, the Yomiuri Shimbun reported citing sources in the Japanese Foreign Ministry that G7 members were working on a joint statement demanding that Beijing review its decision to draw up a national security law in Hong Kong.

Widespread unrest has engulfed many US states over the killing of an African-American Minneapolis man named George Floyd. A police officer kneeled on his neck and choked him during his arrest. Floyd later died in a local Minneapolis hospital. All officers involved in the fatal incident were fired and are now facing criminal charges. The patrolman in question, Derek Chauvin is being charged with second-degree murder.

Shortly after, protests against racial discrimination and police misconduct and brutality flared up in many other countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada and France.

No wonder Trump is desperate to lure Russia into G7.

USA is already quite a mess in my opinion.

Wealth can deceive our judgment.

Everything seems okay because they are wealthy, but systematically it's not.

Maybe it's okay for some people, but not entirely.

And USA is a huge and complex country, it's a multicultural country.

With many people from different backgrounds and cultures.

Despite they have a national standard, it hard to be applied to the whole people.

The best and only solution is if every people from many backgrounds need to adapt and work harder to fight the cultural barrier... on paper.

But in reality, no one wants to adept because they are too proud of their own and hey, it's a free country.

USA has the world's brightest minds.

I hope they will have a solution for this.

I think the best solution is if everyone agrees about one standard of what a good country is, what is their duty to fulfill it.

I want to say Anglo-Saxon culture is good and is already proven to be successful.

We all learn from them, and I hope in the next future Trump doesn't accuse me of stealing their IP. :P

I think US sItuation got more to do with rich and poor gap rather than race issue.

Chinese, Japanese, korean , Indian and Arabs in America has less issue with US police force. Yes, they still do subject to prejudice and threat from white police but far lesser to a degree.

These groups are far more successful as merchants , professional and high position in corporate. I watch a US comedy called "Harold & Kumar goes to white Castle".

It precisely pinpoint the situation US society faces now. Go watch it during a part about Asian and black together and how they are treated in America by police force.

I even saw a confession about a white landlord who will not hesitate to rent his house to Chinese/Korean/Japanese student but will never rent to blacks or Hispanic.

I have several apartments for rent in Hanoi. My preference (and not only mine), in this order, will always be Japanese/Korean/Taiwanese (very few Chinese actually living in Hanoi so we do not have much experience). Second white (and South East Asian like Fillipino) and third Indian. And we do not have experience with black and Arab either.

Trump-Hitler and other US barking dogs of imperialism bark, but the Chinese caravan goes on. Barking is all US barking dogs of imperialism can do.

Well, you can say it's both. Racial discrimination which is based on differences in social-economic status for centuries, coupled with innate prejudices in human beings.

The US is multiracial but has become largely a monolingual and mono-cultural society since their founding. The children of new immigrants such as the Hispanics also join in the majority's language and culture. I mean, even the Blacks also speak English, practice Christianity, celebrate the same festivals, read the same news, watch the same movies, listen to the same music etc. That's why the US is called the melting pot.

This is quite different from Singapore. Here, different races speak different languages, practice different religions, celebrate different festivals, read different sources of news, watch different movies, listen to different music etc. Even in our parliament, debates are carried out in different languages.

However in Singapore there's a heavy regulation of the media and tight social control, and the national narrative actually emphasizes and celebrates the differences. That's why different races here aren't much of a contention against each other as in the US. You may say the racial harmony here is superficial and 'forced', but the fact is there's no racial protests or riots for decades. The political discourse isn't so toxic.

That's because Singapore do NOT want West and Neighbors see herself as Chinese country. Singapore is trying very hard to be none Chinese country.
Sad but that's politics.

For Malaysia, reasons not to rent blacks:-
1. Steal your funiture and fittings.
2. Destroy your funiture and fittings. And other facilities if its a Flats or Condominium.
3. Disturb neighborhood women, even married ones.
4. Involve in crimes/drugs.
5. Bad or will never pay rent. And refuse to move out.
6. Very loud and dirty habits.
7. Surrounding Property value will drop.

Reasons not to rent Arabs:-
Mostly students, rich spoiled kids. Will mess up the house, very dirty, will never throw garbage because its a maids job. Instead of cleaning up the house, they find a new house to rent. And the cycle repeats.

You mean perceived as a 'Chinese-only' country.
You misunderstood me. I didn't perceive anything. I am just speaking my thought and facts.

Singapore is very insecure, one of the most insecure country in the world, at least before 1980s. The insecurity mitigate when China adopted "reform and open up" policy. Why? Because the west want China follow Singapore route - multilateral parties, liberal democracy to some extent.

Lee Kuan Yew is visionary. He allied with his comrade, those socialists, communists to grab power in 1950s. After that either throw them into jail such as Lim Chin Siong, or marginalize them such as Lee Siew Choh. The socialists party - Barisan Sosialis were beat by Lee Kuan Yew badly.

I don't blame Lee Kuan Yew a bit. Singapore was fighting for own survival, and China in 1960s can do nothing to help those poor Fujian, Guangdong Chinese. Actually, in the opposite, western power is very suspicious at ethnic Chinese state - Singapore. There is no place for socialist party in Singapore. It's a matter of life(capitalist) or death(socialist).

To make western power happier and Singapore safer, English and Multi culture/Multi race were encouraged, so that Singapore will not been seen as ethnic Chinese state by neighbors and west.

Things changed fast, it's time to come home. But we are separated too long, who are we(Singaporean)? Who are you(Chinese ancestor)?

When great empire collapsed, great civilization collapsed, those diasporas suffered:
When Ottoman Empire collapsed, those Turks diasporas wandering around Central Asia, Balkan.
When Russian Empire/Soviet collapsed, those Slavs diasporas wandering around Central Asia, Balkan, South Caucasus, East Europe.
When China dynasty collapsed, those Chinese diasporas wandering around South East Asia, Sakhalin, Vladivostok, Taiwan, and Singapore.

It's history, sad. But history is history.

Chinese civilization keep coming back as great nation again and again throughout human history.

While, all these others like Rome Empire, Ancient Greece, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Babylon and Ancient India, the past is past.

Well, you can say it's both. Racial discrimination which is based on differences in social-economic status for centuries, coupled with innate prejudices in human beings.

Don't take every words of Lee Kuan Yew seriously. It's politics, and he doesn't means it when he say it, you need to think in the opposite way sometimes.

Why Singapore has to be multi racial? Why Singapore has to be multi cultural? Why Singapore has to adopt English as mother language?

Think about it.
