"35% of
crimes in Italy were committed by immigrants"
> you count all occurrances of crime registered in Italy, then see what part of that total is committed by what type of purpetrator (here: immigrants versus non-immigrants).
THIS IS NOT PER CAPITA.
"Romanians, Moroccans and Albanians commit the
most crimes
> of all registered occurrances of crime, you look at the ethnicity of the perpetrator
> note that
- no distinction is made between legal and illegal immigrants
- Romanians are considered immigrants or else wouldn't be listed here.
- it doesn't say if the focus is on all perpetrators or just (im)migrants
THIS IS NOT PER CAPITA
"The three ethnicity are also
the major minorities in Italy."
> hence, if there is no under- or overrepresentation, they should also show up among all perpertrators in the same proportion to their presence among the (migrant) population of Italy
THIS NOT PER CAPITA
Regarding murders, Romanians are in first place (15.4% of the total number of foreigners reported for this offense), followed by Albanians (11.9%) and Moroccans (9.1%).
> This suggests a focus on crimes committed by foreigners (not that foreigner is not identical to immigrant. think e.g. tourists)
For sexual violence, Romanians are in the lead (representing 16.2% of the total number of foreigners reported for this offense), followed by Moroccans (15.9%) and Croats (13.9%), perpetrators of rape are of Italian nationality in 60.9 percent of cases.
> the data is all crimes of the type 'rape' > 60.9 percent of attackers Italian + 39.1 percent non-italian
which is a pretty similar proportion to immigrants v non-immigrants in Italy
> assumming rape=sexual violence and there not being many other forms of sexual violence besides rape, 16.2% Romanians is in relation to all non-italian perpetrators
By comparison, Italy's population in 2011 was 59,433,744 of which 3,879,224 foreign residents (6.5%) of which 823,100 Romanians (1,38%) and 407,097 Moroccans (0.68%) and 451,437 Albanians (0.76%). That is 21.2%, 10,5% and 11.6% respectively, relative to the foreign resident population. So, assuming briefly proportions in 2011 aren't significanly different from those in 2007, this says Romanians -
while the numerically the largest group of non-Italian perpetrators of rape - are underrepresented in this category of crime and Moroccans and Albanians ar overrepresented.
NONE OF THIS IS PER CAPITA.
Now look at other type of crime:
-For home robberies, still in command Romanians (19.8%), followed by Albanians (13.8%) and Moroccans (8.7%).
-For muggings Moroccans are in first place (20.6%), followed by Romanians (19.3%) and Albanians (6%).
-As for car theft, Romanians return to the top (29.8%), followed by Moroccans (13.2%) and Albanians (8.8%).
-For extortion, finally, still Romanians (15%), followed by Albanians (11.2%) and Moroccans (10.7%).
Then you have no objective measure of evidence in support of you claim. Realistically, if we assume for a moment that it is true that there is a very larger percentage of gypsies in Romanian jails, then that doesn't necessarily or automatically mean they are more criminal. For example, there may be some for of profiling or bias in the Romanian police/justice system. See by comparison the data on blacks in jail in the US (Whites have lower conviction rates and lower sentences for a given crime)
Where exactly have I lectured on gypsie discrimination in the previous? Besides, we have gypsies, including Roma, in the Netherlands too and you don't hear me bitching about them. Sorry but that simply is a chip on your shoulder.
But I'm going of topic...
