Don't demonize India on outsourcing: Republican McCain

That Ad was so cheap, like a highly dramatized bond movie. American campaign ads are surprisingly shallow and more emotional than factual.
People who buy that must be really dumb.

You must speak to the soul in order to electrify him"

Agreed.

Its always about politics everywhere and anywhere in all governments, no exceptions.

True, it's just politics... and it applies to all countries. I don't take it personally.

Anyway, most of the uproar against that advert seem to have come from Chinese Americans (from what I can tell), not from China itself.

Stuff should be produced at the lowest cost possible - keeping quality in mind ofcourse. Lowest cost means lowest amount of resources used to produce it i.e. workers who will eat less, live for less, work for less. Not only is this good for improving world prosperity by bringing cheaper cost goods to the world, this is the best thing for the environment because we may run out of resources if we do not produce at the minimum cost. Republicans understand this part at least.

What went wrong down the way in the American capitalist model however is that the American consumer spends more than he produces. The big corps have sold him fake riches and saddled him with debt. The idea of outsourcing production should be to lower cost for everyone - the corporation as well as the consumers. In reality, however, how many have actually seen a reduction in retail prices post outsourcing? Prices either remained the same or have been increased. The obsession with profit growth forced the companies to distribute all the savings to the shareholders with none being passed onto consumers. This has to change one way or the other. One way would be to raise the personal income taxes especially on upper class Americans most of whom have large shareholdings, and reduce corporate tax. The government with this surplus revenue should look towards creating jobs and instigating growth. Infrastructure projects could be undertaken, NASA funding can be increased and so much more. This would be the win all situation.

It is all about politics in USA. The Republicans will spare no effort to drive Obama and his policies in to a corner. And Mr. Obama will have to keep squirming all the while. Not unsurprisingly, Obama overlooks one fact; that India Inc. has taken over 350 odd businesses in the USA and in the process created over 65,000 jobs there.

It is all domestic US politics.
Obama's already lost it. His party ship is sinking. Though Bush wash rash with Iraq war, he and Republicans are far more decisive and don't keep matters hanging. That is what propelled Republicans back to favour this time. BO said he will create jobs, eliminate the war expensese; but neither US economy has improved not war has stopped.

I somehow like Rep attitude towards India and Bush did really take efforts to gain our respect and trust.

Indian economy is not all about call centers. Many people in the top level management of some of the largest incorporation are actually from the IIMs and other premier B-Schools in India. And you really think CG works or programming as required in software companies can be done by high school students of any country, let alone US....Either you are revolutionizing educational systems here or a complete fool.
It will be a revealation to know that the software and CG related companies don't need UG/PG guys, just high school pass outs will do....Thats how things happen back in your country???

he only knows OUTSOURCING means CALL CENTER, India have a big SOFTWARE APPLICATION/OS/DB DEVELOPMENT BASE HERE... fool's always live in paradise and tell others are live in hell:cheers:
dont waste to rep for that..
