Dogfight In ISRO - The Truth Is Out There - This how our scientists are treated!

. . . .
Just curious...had a question...
Since you guys seem to know more about isro...
Which state has more influence in ISRO? (like andhra, tamil, karnataka)
Which state people are hated most in ISRO?

South India dominates in the workforce of ISRO - Particularly Kerela and Tamil Nadu right from the inception of ISRO - As a matter of fact we have all the major research and development centers of ISRO may it be VSCC, LPSC, IIST, SDSC or ISRO headquarters are in South only - one of the reasons why there was some resistance offered to the proposal of a third launch pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre (which has now been cleared) included - because it will lead to an increase in the number of scientist from southern India. Other reasons like security of the new launch pad and the threat due to Chinese presence in Myanmar are also being given.

And no one hated there - it all depends on your merit as to how well you perform there. But as I earlier highlighted - "In ISRO, whoever is at the top can do lots of damage to your career. Our system works on the basic principle that the boss is always right"

The launch pad can only be at Sriharikota, Andhra...
There is no logical solution to place it in North...
But i think ISRO should compensate by constructing new offices in NORTH...

.
then its their fault...and ISRO does not deserve to be served by those kind of clowns...

Of course it's their fault. Lack of funding and corrupted minds. Even if you give them all the funding, it will go missing at the end of year.

For this reason people don't want to work in India. atleast they are paid good outside, if not given credits.

it's better to light a candle than to curse the darkness - it is ultimately we who have to change this scenario - may be Bharat Ratna Prof. CNR Road was right when he said -

we [Indians] do not work hard, India is a great country and you have all the freedom here. But a little bit of nationalism is needed among us. India has more brilliant people than any other country. referring to how youth in China were proud of their country and dream of taking their country to the No.1 slot in science and technology. Sixty per cent of India's population is from villages. It is these villages that have the best of brains. This is where our hope is. Those from big cities like Bangalore are more interested in money and they will not make much contribution to the future of the country's research.

Money is not everything bro - Hope you will understand it sir....

Well ideally its Kulasekarapattinam of south Tamil Nadu which is a suitable location for further launch pad, as opined by experts from ISRO's Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre at Mahendragiri in Tirunelveli district - They will both save fuel and increase the capability of our Satellite Launch Vehicles - better than Sriharikota actually....

Any reason to choose sriharikota again...
ISRO should go with Mahendragiri if its ideal...

No one is criticizing the organization - no one is bashing ISRO - The whole story is about the Antrix-Devas episode and its aftermath depicting how some of the eminent scientists were deliberately manipulated in the scam - Please read the article then only you are free to express your views on it - It has nothing to do with the achievements of the organization neither anyone is criticizing the same but it is about those who made those achievements happen - the forerunners of our space programme - And as a matter of fact Madhavan Nair has a better record than K Radhakrishnan till date - He was a better leader - That doesn't mean Shri Radhakrishnan is in any way less than that but this incident should not have happened. And as far as the MOM is concerned - yes he might be wrong but the main thing he highlighted was that the ISRO should have taken more time and developed the GSLV Mk. II so that we could have some more scientific payloads on board (currently 15 kg only) for one simply does not have many chances to go for such missions as atleast I dont expect another Mangalyaan after this as we are expecting Chandrayaan II just 8 yeas after te first mission - it will take time - ISRO is doing a great job.

I just hpoe that the various members of the various coteries move on; either by retirement or by weeding out or by reforming themselves.
ISRO in its founding years had real Stalwarts at the helm; who can be remembered even to this day not just for scientific acumen but also character and probity.
