Jammu and Kashmir is a multi ethnic state.
In Kashmir valley there live the dardic people, the Kashmiris who are muslims.
In Ladakh there live the Ladakh people who are Sino Tibetan and are mainly buddhists.
In Jammu there live the Dogras, who are some kind of punjabi/mongolian mixture, who are mainly hindus.

In my opinion Pakistan needs only the Kashmir valley because:

1. Kashmiris are dardic people and related to the dardic people of Pakistan (Shinas and Chitralis) and in extend also to Pashtuns (East-Iranian people).
2. Kashmiris always were part of Pakistan's predecessor states (like the Sikh empire, Durrani empire or Indus valley civilisation etc.)
3. Kashmiris are Muslims

In conclusion Kashmiris share ethnical, historical, religious and cultural ties with all Pakistanis.

Whereas Ladakh and Jammu people don't share these connections.
Only thing Ladakh could be relevant is the Indus river which flows through Ladakh to China.

So do we need whole IO Jammu and Kashmir or only the Kashmir valley?

Here is also a map displaying the kashmir valley:

We want more than that ... our wish list to big man ....

Well,we don't need ladakh as it is considered a dud territory but we would be more than willing to take the rest of IOK and if possible we should also seek land access to our strategy partner Nepal

That would mean that Jammu, Himachal pardesh and Uttarkhand would be needed if Pakistan wants a land acces to Nepal.

But again no ethnical, historical, cultural and religious connections with those people (Jammu, Himachal and uttakhand).

So thats more than unlikely.

why do you need a reason for that ? :coffee:

Because of no ethnical, historical, cultural and religious ties with those people.

Only reason would be resources.

Doesn't matter as Pakistan is not merely a race but a state of mind. They will eventually fall for Paksitaniat

We just want wishes of Kashmiries rather then any region. In1999 & 2001 two Pakistani government proposed 5 plans, to finish this issue. But problem is India is not interested in Peace.

First atleast start discussion, some solution will appear automatically, and something good for Kashmiri people will come up. You want to keep issue open, how exactly problem is going to resolve?

Thats all of perspective. For some people Pakistan is only a concept and a philosophy.
For other people like me Pakistan is just country of Punjabis, Pashtuns, Kashmiris, Sindhis and Balochis which the word "Pakistan" indicates and a succession state of its predecessor states (indus valley civilisation, Durrani empire, Sikh empire etc.).

Nevertheless even if Pakistan is purely a state of mind how will you include regions like jammu etc. in Pakistan if they are not muslims and Pakistan is an islamic state which is also its intention since day one?

Clearly need more of occupied Kashmir than what OP's suggested.

The Western Rivers traverse a large portion of Jammu and Ladakh, after originating from Himachal in India and Tibet in China, before entering into Pakistan. Integrating occupied Kashmir into Pakistan is less of a political exercise and more of a battle for existence. Although India has, to some extent thus far, observed its part of the Indus Water Treaty, it has intermittently threatened to choke Pakistan of its water supply and, therefore, the issue of Kashmir will remain a perennial flashpoint unless and until the large majority of it is handed over to Pakistan, particularly the valleys trough which the Indus and the Jhelum flow.

The problem right now, is that a majority of Kashmiris don't want to join Pakistan. The Kashmir valley wants freedom but Jammu and Ladakh want to stay with India. So, at least for now, it doesn't seem like Pakistan is going to end up with any more of Kashmir than it already has.

Pakistanis should ideally be worried about saving the territory that they have right now. But no point telling them that.
Only one solution of Kashmir is possible currently ie. conversion of LOC in International border...may be in Future by looking at current path of Pakistan as a country,India will claim the so called Azad Kashmir to establish Akhand Kashmir.
