Does Pakistan need to bring its media under stricter regulations?

Having watched this entire current political circus on different media channels I saw that perhaps except the channel dawn, none of the channels provided truly neutral and unbiased reporting...

Different channels have become mouth pieces for different political and business organisations...

This can be very dangerous as it can create deep and dangerous political divide within the country...

I also realise any regulation like this would be opposed as an attack on freedom of speech

Can a law be made (or even should be made) to regulate the media houses?
If so, how should we go about it?

You can't really do that effectively. What exactly will you restrict? Don't cover certain events? Don't speak against certain party / military? The key is to educate the public so they're able to critically view and decide the information by themselves.
