Does India need anti Submarine warfare carrier?

In case of blockade created by IN CBG near gulf of oman or in the Indian ocean , how is IN going to deal with submarine threat and specially submarine launched exocet SM 39 missile, as we know it has a range of 180km, with current arsenal?

LRMPAs (the P-8I of the IN is easily the most advanced sub-hunting plane on the planet), the IN's own sub fleet (SSKs and in the future SSNs)as well as its surface fleet. The IN will have both the quantitative and qualitative superiority to deal with any threat the PN might pose.

p8s are long range MPAs so some more of them stationed in goa/debolim can deal with sub's in Arabian sea. not to forget that in long run IN wants a total 24 such mpas so order might increased from current 12 or 12 from some other vendor. and yes kamortas will carry only 1 asw heli but then 12 of them can. cover a very large area.

That's still on the list and I doubt the French will cancel it, even under US pressure. The deal is simply too big to let it go so easily. Germany has cancelled a deal with Russia now, which costs Rheinmetall around 20 million Euros and that crashed their shares today. Now guess what happens with DCNS when such a big deal like the Mistral deal would be cancelled, which costs more than a billion Euros!
However the French cancelled a joint development for a wheeled IFV that they wanted to develop with Russia and the S1000 co-development with Italy, as a cost-effective low end sub should be out of the question too.
