Does India Harbour Territorial Ambitions Towards Pakistan or Not?

Pakistanis claim India is an external threat to Pakistan. But why? Do Pakistanis feel that India has never been reconciled to Partition and the creation of Pakistan and seeks to reunify Pakistan with India by force? Not so! says Air Vice-Marshal (Ret'd) Abid Rao of the Pakistan Air Force. He maintains that even if Pakistan were to ask India to reincorporate Pakistan into India, the Indians would refuse. If this is true, why is India used as a bogey man in Pakistan? For what purpose is this done?

It's always Pakistan who always asserts/ claims that parts of India belongs to Pakistan not vice versa.

Had Pakistan been a part of India then we would have ensured that something like Taliban or TTP is not created at all!!

Just think about it, what kind of a fool would it take to freely distribute automatic weapons among common people within your own country, brainwash them on the basis of religion and then let loose!!

What’s the point of this thread?

The reason for this conflict is over territory (Kashmir) which both sides claim it to be theirs. It is as simple as that. There isn’t any hidden meaning to be found and by the way both sides use each other to deflect attention from internal problems or used as a “bogey man”. So this superior attitude by some members on this thread is just laughable and not sincere.

1. Why would India want to invade Pakistan ? What for ? What is there in Pakistan to gain ? The return on investment is way too low.

2. The very existence of Pakistan, on the other hand depends upon India. Why Pakistan was created ? To be not like India....
It seems like the country has no independent existence or purpose at all.What is Pakistan? The answer is not India..

Pakistan was created with the aim of being a Muslim majority secular state where Muslims will not be oppressed, with the notion that Muslims cannot live freely in Hindu majority India.

So, if the Pakistanis ever admit that Muslims are better off in India than in Pakistan then the whole ideology behind creating Pakistan goes for a toss.
Now, the reality is, Pakistan is the only nation that was created for religion, Islam. The irony is now more Muslim people die in Pakistan every day than probably most of the Muslim world put together, where as Indian Muslims are doing just fine...
So, why would India want to invade such a place ? They are better off fighting among themselves, it is prudent to keep distance.

Exactly. But the point of the thread is why is India perceived in Pakistan as being an external threat. All right there is the Kashmir problem, but it seems from the video in the OP that some or many Pakistanis still believe that India has territorial ambitions towards Pakistan itself and for that reason was and remains an external threat. Is this just a beat-up to justify military spending? Apart from Kashmir, what is it with India that some or many Pakistanis have a problem with? Or is it, as stated previously, just the Indian Boogeyman Syndrome?

Many reasons but two standout. Pakistan almost at all levels use islam and kashmir as theirs. They cannot agree that so many muslims can live peacefully in India - because if they admit that it would mean admitting the fallacy of the reason used by its founder jinnah. So they continue to need India thought of as enemy in their minds. but since they cannot openly say islam should be their exclsuive, they pick on things like kashmir as an issue.
