Does Himachal Pradhesh count as part of the Indus region?

Does the region of Himachal Pradesh count as part of the Indus region? Are its people related to the people of Punjab and Sindh?

As far as I know its a transitional zone. The areas bordering Punjab have naturally close ties to the wider Indus region. The Rajput Jaswal Katoch clan for example has ruled the famous fort of Kangra for centuries. Jaswal as you might know is also the surname of a famous musician in Pakistan today (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umair_Jaswal).

@Cobra Arbok My questions so far is how does the caste system work exactly? I've noticed while reading on various tribes etc that they start out as one caste and over time become another, for example ive seen some go from Jat to Rajput or Brahmin to Rajput or the other way round Rajput to Jat etc etc
How does the castes change over time? Give me a basic understand of it please?
As much as I know, caste is hereditary. One cann't change one's caste. People fake it all the time for one reason or another.

Also, Jat is not exactly a 'caste' per say. Jat is more of a community. In India their home-state is in Haryana. There are Hindu Jats, Sikh Jats and Muslim Jats too. Some of them are from warrior 'castes', some of them were landowners and some of them are simple farmers.
