the vulgar themed movies are clearly known and marked as such... but i have seen south indian family entertainer with vulgar 2 meaning dialogues for comedic purpose(something bollywood stopped since govinda/kader khan)....
How do you explain popularity of Rajanikanth, Vijyakanth in south, most of their recent movies are overhyped crap. There is nothing wrong in hiring sunny leone, there is a difference between vulgarity and showing skin. Very few accuse hollywood of vulgarity, even though many movies show ample skin.
Item songs are a bad trend, I agree but that cant possibly compare with the crap south indian movies produce. When people say south indian movies are better than bollywood, they talk about a few good movies that they watched. Either that or blown away by hype of money or craze(apparently more money means better movie)..
I still give full kudos to south directors for choosing original/different story line.. but they screw it with south indian style film making.
Every industry produces crap movies. South is not an exception. Of course south comprises Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam industries. So each industry produces its own share of crap movies. But look at bollywood, how many movies were released and how many were critically acclaimed ? I am sure south movies are better in that ratio. Of course bollywood movies easily make money owing to high ticket prices, a huge market and the relentless readiness of indian fans to watch any movie on its first day. I bet Salman khan's movies will be a big flop if not for huge ticket rates and mindless fan following.
Vijayakanth ? Do you even know when his last movie was a hit ? 2005. Rajinikanth's recent movies were flops and his recent movie kabali received mixed reactions but successful commercially.
Justifying skin show ? Then you are a supporter of film fraternity earning money by invoking movie watchers' emotions and feelings. I leave that to yourselves. In USA you can see women roaming around in bikini and more revealing dresses everyday, or even every hour. Portraying that in their movies is quite common. Is that the case in India ?
Bollywood doesn't use double meaning dialogues ? Did you forget grand masti, 3 idiots, dirty picture, mastizaade and many many more ?
Overall Bollywood doesn't deserve to represent India while other industries produce much more meaningful films. India's highest ever grossing movie is Bahubali, a Telugu film.
