Very nice and balance analysis, and to the point is that Its America that wants Pakistan to accept Indian supremacy in the region, by doing that they will successfully destroy Pak-China relationship as well, and all the build up we have did so far with help from China will go to waste, regime change might bring some positive and negative aspects with it, but in long terms its just that Pakistan will be push back to darker times, I wished that Pakistan has 2-3 Patriotic non corrupt Parties from which People can pick their leaders from, but unfortunately we have none. If PDM wins they will bring corrupt people back in Power, Pakistan's economy will suffer massively which will force us to go to foreign Powers for help and then they will dictate terms for us. Pakistan needs a massive revolution, the whole system and Political leadership, establishment must be rooted/booted out and bring in the new leaders, leaders who will put Pakistan first.

Why not force rules and processes that eliminate corruption? That is the simple solution rather than creating a threat to Pakistan's national security. Hand chopping for minor corruption and firing squad for high level corruption would be a good start. Been saying that for a long time but no one listens; once the punishments are established you will see a dramatic change to the better in Pakistan's trajectory. IK had the opportunity to make a change but he squandered it by surrounding himself with corrupt and anti-state people. Now he has to face the music as a failed politician and pass on the governance to the next round of corrupt people. Having watched the Mushy video (and I hope it was doctored) the Pakistan army needs to tighten up inhouse to ensure Generals aren't under the influence of foreign entities or made vulnerable enough to be controlled.

The West has a problem with a nuclear powered Islamic country. Every muslim country can be controlled if they dont have nukes.

The problem is within Pakistan traitor elements, these ghadaars have no sympathy or patriotic elements instead what is in it for them. Somehow for last 35 years I was wondering myself how the heck did these Zardari or Nawaz groups got elected time & time after again (which have destroyed fabric of being Pakistani)??? There is some variable z in all of population to blindly elect popular vote and Fail to see bigger darker picture!
Now we have PM IK for first time and general population are seeing the crimes committed by traitors in reality. The Army has to elect IK back to power from total destruction of Pk.

Looks like Imran khan is doing drama. If he is really scared then he will not talk about the letter.
BTW pakistan does not have any leverage. I strongly believe that USA does not care about pakistan any more. Biden still now did not make phone call.
US never cared about Pak but used it. Pakistan forever shall remain in indias shadow.

New York Times in Jan 2022: Why Pakistan’s Army Wants the U.S. Back in the Region

From the article:
Because as U.S.-China competition intensifies, Pakistan’s army fears getting trapped in a cul-de-sac with Beijing. So it seeks to balance the two great powers by grasping on to areas of cooperation, including counterterrorism and trade, that could salvage relations with Washington.

For years, Chinese and Pakistani leaders have described their relationship as “sweeter than honey.”
For years, Chinese and Pakistani leaders have described their relationship as “sweeter than honey.

The prime minister, in contrast, appears to be more driven by personal sentiments. He admires China’s political system, especially its gains against poverty and its ruthless anti-corruption measures. And he has an anti-American streak, which helps explain why he might be more receptive to Chinese pressure.

The army, though, doesn’t seem to hold such grudges. Its focus is the present and the future, which seem foreboding. Pakistan’s economy is sputtering, which could be a recipe for social and political unrest, as well as cuts in military spending.

As the tap from China dries up — given Beijing’s growing aversion to lend to high-risk countries — and Pakistan’s economic woes worsen, much of the army command see Mr. Khan’s hypernationalism as counterproductive truculence, and the military leaders increasingly view him as more of a liability than an asset. This helps explain the overtures to Washington, which include not just the democracy summit messaging but also granting a U.S. diplomat rare access into the tightly controlled, Chinese-operated port of Gwadar.
