The "administration" right is created after WW2
China's sovereignty claim is backed by law and history

The integration of Tibet and Xinjiang were justifiable, the annexation of Ryukyu come from pure expansionist greed. Those islands are not even worth a month's trade with China (both sides of the straits) so I'm sure the Japanese government will think twice about provocative moves.
