I get the point far better than you do. I live in a country whose freedom of the press is the envy of the world.
Whose media ? And how ?
What YOU do not get is that if you empower the government to 'protect' you pretty much empowered the government to do whatever it wants to the press in the name of that protection.
We already had that experiment. Perhaps you have heard of it ? It was called communism.
Yes you live in the country where anything can be done in the name of freedom ..,
Freedom of speech when it suits..
Freedom of press when it suits ..
That is why YOU completely ignored the link i gave you .. that's shows the freedom you live in ...
Another example --- > In most western countries you cant deny the holocaust (i am not saying it didn't happened) but someone might be off the view that most of the things being said now are fabricated
But your gov and press does not apply Freedom of speech or Freedom of Press on such subjects ...
Feel free to first come up with the proper answer for the link i gave and this subject before just saying things out of your keyboard without any solid evidences to proof your point..
