Whatever the ISIS are doing, the ideology they are propagating and the way they are going about their business, there is nothing Islamic in it. But, the fact remains that they are doing it in the name of Islam, and for Islam.

Of course, what they are doing, they are promoting is not Islamic. I agree with you on that point. My point is, they are doing it in the name of Islam and those who are doing it are a significant force to register serious attention at a global level. So, one is justified to ask the question, why is it related ? And what are the genuine followers of Islam doing to correct that ? It is their responsibility too.

I came across some posts of some members of PDF who are claiming that ISIS fighters are not Muslims and in fact trained non Muslims who pretend to be Muslims to give a bad image to Islam.

yes they are if you read about the crimes that they call conquests they are the best example of sunni islam but not us shia because we don't justifiy the invasion and crimes against other lands in the name of islam or so called spread a religion.

That's why people here in India have got the highest amount of respect for the Shiites because of their tolerant and non-violent nature and the most importantly their ability to mingle with the majority Hindus without any reservations

That's why here people say that the only sect that truly follows the instructions of peace and non-violence of Allah and the Holy Prophet(S.A.W.) are the Shiite community.We have been living peacefully with each other for the last 800 years,the same goes with the Zorastrian Persian community,an extremely tolerant and peaceful loving people,glad to have them as our compatriots
