Do Pakistan infantryman use optics on rifles?

Suppressing fire to give mortar team some time.

Again not a good thing to do until you want to suppress/cover fire

It isnt really suppressive fire.....something else.

AK bursts up in the mountains = suppressing fire?

Suppressing fire would be dshk or lmg but that's not the case here

my point remains - why do the soldiers need sights when they think they can get the job done by just blindfiring

Suppressing fire can be done by SMGs or even semi-automatic rifles as well....Dshks or MGs as well...

There are situations where soldiers do need sights on their rifles / MGs.....when accurate fire is required, like in ambushes, counter ambushes...host of other situations....

You are the most Big Brained senior member I found

You're not just ignorant but also dumb. Tell me one thing what do you think the soldiers in this video are trying to achieve. I'll make it easy for you 1,they're trying to get as many headshots as possible 2, they're just having fun or 3, there trying to provide suppressive fire. Now if if you have one working brain cell and follow the breadcrumbs to the 3rd conclusion then congratulations that's your answer as i described in my last reply to you full auto is only used for a show of force and suppressive fire only.
Now if you'd take my advice, don't talk about a subject you know jacksh!t about to a person who knows a lot about it.

I'm not watching the video, write what you have to say.
what would you expect from a professional soldier to do?

to go all rambo out in the open, blind or hipfiring to mark his territory as you had proposed

or to actually make his shots count and try to make the most out of his environment?

MG3 suppresses like anything....ok let me narrate a funny incident from 2013....
somewhere in SWA...
a post having three Dshks and 6 MG3s....a dry nullah coming towards towards your post....post was on a hilltop...

one night, while looking out of our TI sights, we detected an enemy party of maybe a dozen or so individuals coming towards the post for God know s what......now there was a place where they HAD to cross the 300 m wide dry nullah.....they were detected and sprayed by MG3s and Dshks.....tracers all around, they retreated, pounded by 81 mm mortars on their return, couple of injured as well....

since they transmit mostly in clear, so once they retreated a bit, their commander who was perched somewhere nearby on a hill top, ordered them again to move forward....the other chap, being wise enough after having been plastered by so much firepower, said in breathless tone.... (name) maulvi saab, khud aa ker humaray saath chalo, jab 12.7 ki goli qareeb se guzarti hai tau kia kuch yaad dila deti hai.....lolx.....and we all laughed at it....

its a bad situation if you get pinned down by auto fire ( may it be SMGs, MGs or even Dshks).....Dshks especially, with its anti-infantry range of 3500 m, it plays havoc with your nerves.

i somehow lost a vid in my collection...

it was around 2012, terrorists used to make vids of their attacks on PA posts as well.....

in the vid, the terrorists try to creep near to a PA post.....however, somehow they get detected, and two MG3s open up with tracers.....the terrorist cameraman went berserk with incoming tracers clearly visible, hitting all around them....terrorists suffered couple dead.....

MG3s, their fire and their sound.....marvelous.....their effect, devastating.

Don't try to be a smart *** this might have worked against someone else.
First of all you were the one who said that our army doesn't need a scope they can just hip fire or blind fire "your words",
i am not even kidding
look up the videos of the troops that were shooting back during the torkham border clashes
who needs sights for small arms when you can just blindfire

who needs acogs or 4x sights when you can blindfire
As ignorant as you were i tried to explain what the soldiers were doing in these video's wasn't what you think they were, in short they are either doing suppressive fire or show of force, these are legit military techniques and only where full auto is recommended, their aim is not to get kills if they do get some than its a cherry on the top but that's not what they're aiming for. But then you try to shift the argument that you were making originally on to me that i am advocating for them to just use blind fire to mark their territory, while i never said that i am pretty sure you did say that they don't have to use any scopes just blind firing is enough.
If you have any dignity you won't reply further but just me being optimistic.

Blindfiring at a target 500m+ isn't even suppressive fire though...

that i am advocating for them to just use blind fire to mark their territory, while i never said that

It is basically a show of force just like a lion, marking their territory to let them know we're here.

There isn't as far as i know any specific range where you can use suppressive fire at it depends on the situation, it can also be used in CQB's
So your point being?

do watch it for the sake of MG3...:sniper:
I sure will.

Blindfiring at a target 500m+ isn't even suppressive fire though...
Does me explaining to you what suppressive fire is or what's going on in the video, in your brain equates to supporting that idea than I'm sorry for your condition.

All standard G3s have a 4 x 24 scope, which is highly accurate upto 800 m.
New G3s having picatinny rails which allow you to mount RDSs.

Type 56 is accurate enough at 800 meters as well ( which is the max allowed by its iron sights)

Sir, my understanding was that it is only humanly possible to shoot accurately at approx. 300m using iron sights. Beyond that, the human eye won't be able to discern the target properly.
