A problem in the US-China relationship is that the US has an extreme difficulty to consider any country as an equal. The US sees itself as exceptional and can’t easily recognize the legitimacy of the interests of another power and of the concerns its own policy may create.

So now is not a new cold war, the cold war is based on the balance of power, mutual recognition of each other's sphere of influence.

China's strategic nuclear force has not reached the level equivalent to that of the United States, whether it is nuclear warheads or delivery vehicles.

But China's capabilities in other areas have surpassed the expectations of the United States.

In general, China's strategic nuclear forces need to be improved, and the United States' perception of China needs to be adjusted.
