Disillusioned enclave dwellers want to return from India

COOCH BEHAR: A year after enclave dwellers got Indian citizenship, several of these people want to go back to Bangladesh as they are miffed over the lack of job and other opportunities in India, according to Economic Times of India.

Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs Pradip Bhattacharya said several enclave dwellers, who came to Indian enclaves after August 1, 2015, have expressed their desire to go back to Bangladesh.

"I have received reports of enclave dwellers who had come from Bangladesh and had settled in Indian enclaves wanting to go back to Bangladesh due to lack of job and other basic opportunities. This is a matter of serious concern. I will inquire the matter with the union home department," Bhattacharya, who is also a senior Congress MP from Bengal, told PTI

Is it possible that this news is something upside down? Is it not the opposite because the Honorable Indian members of this very PDF uses every opportunity to cry that India, their honey & milk country, is such a heaven that the poor Bangladeshis, regularly pole vault and cross the border.

These Indian posters' wrong statement must have influenced the enclave dwellers from Bangladesh to choose India. Now, the honest Home Affairs Chairman of India, Pradip Bhattacharya have busted the dishonesty of PDF Indians.

However, even with this enclave dwellers news at hand more than 11 Lakhs Bangladeshis pole vault every year to that super land India to see how the rich Indians eat honey and drink milk. Shame on the Indian PDF members!! They want us to see through their Bombay movies, dance/song shooting being conducted in the European Parks during deep nights.

Yeah that thread quoted BangladeshI news source. It is quoting the Indian one.

However, I said it before. It makes no logic. We don't get maid even after offering 5000tk for few daily chores because they prefer to work in Garments. Why on earth people would migrate to India to starve??

Bangladesh is getting better every year and they being trapped inside an enclave mistook india's reputation being a large influential country as a land of honey.

People cross border to buy cows from indian farmers and sell in Dhaka as it enormously profitable. Bangladeshi Middle class buys beef for 500tk / Kg. It isn't migration.

based on bd source(this one is low on info).. here is what I understand..
1. All the indian enclaves that went to bd, people prefered to stay in bd(they were, all these years anyways)
2. All the bd enclaves that went to India, people prefer to stay in India(they were, all these years, anyways)
3. Some people of some enclaves wanted to cross over to India... (leaving their own village which is now in bd)

Now the total number of people who became bd nationals is more than total number of people who became Indian.. thats simply because more enclaves went to bd. If you are a farmer, you are emotionally attached to your land and its not unreasonable to change your nationality otherwise you will lose land.
This has been claimed by some bd members as proof that supa pawa India is in gutters and sonal bangla, well, is shining...

Now, the people of 3rd category, who left their own villages to cross over to India( the other side journey did not happen btw), expected that India will settle them within reasonable period of time. Considering most of our internal displaced people are living in poor condition with little govt help, I am not surprised. These 3rd category people, apparently hedged their bets, had part of the family in the villages(that went to bd) and they became Indian... a win win strategy that will require some time to bear fruit. Some of them could be landless poor as well.

Nobody is saying India is a land of honey, but you should ask these people of 3rd category why would they leave their own village.. may be they should have known better..

As I said they thought it would be easier to find comfort in India and now the illusion is gone. As I understand the Social and Economic Fabric in India and BD are almost same. There is no visible difference. And when there is no difference people will normally find their ancestral land more attractive. That is what happening. However, few people make it look like there are huge difference between India and BD such as calling Bangladeshis Kangladeshi or Miskeen. This news should be an eye opener to those dimsighted online warriors.

That's when the Indian officials started miking that those who will choose to be Indians will get good amount of funds as well as land for their shelter and farming. After the exchange, the Indian government failed to deliver its promises and now there seem to be no possibility of those pledges being materialized ever.

You see, Indian govt policy was to save its face. Now, let us see what India does about this about other enclave dwellers. To the Indian posters in the PDF, I must ask you guys to respect our country and its people. May be we are richer than India or poorer, it has nothing to with Indians. So, either leave Bangladesh Forum or respect us.

No one in our country (not PDF) respects India because the people have no money, still they smoke Biri and share a cup of tea in a village stall between two or three. We know all things about India. So, do not push us any more.
