Discussion of future prediction of GDP of Bangladesh!!!

Sorry my BD friends ... my maths is week, so i was unable to calculate what will be BD's future GDP . But according to the same report, India's GDP will be of $85.97 trillion in 2050 and will become WORLD's biggest economy.

no it doesnt, corruption is a national disease, it can only be cured through education and slow per capita gdp growth, no matter whoever comes they will do corruption. Problem is that we have a lot of population with very little land.

I i think bangladesh and srilanka will be the top performers in coming decades ..
India and pakistan will lag behind these countries on developmental indices because of extra energy they will spend to drag one another ..
Nepal and maldives hope they will gain prosperity

For me , here's my 1-point demand: Khaleda & family and Hasina & family must say bye bye to politics. The sooner the better.

First of all BNP and Awami League are not the same. These two have some common traits but their action and performance are vastly different. And historic record should speak for itself. One that stand out most is that BNP never gave up national interest to India the way Awami league did and doing. Enough said on that.

There are class of people who try to equate BNP and Awami league to mask Awami destruction. This is a popular template among “closet Awami” supporters and sushils. There is another class of people who thinks equating these two parties can make case for throwing them out and get something better. Who will bring that better something and how? This second class cannot answer that question. If these very people cannot think outside the box other than equating, how could people trust their idea?

Fact is, answer is not as simple as equating both parties or throwing both out.

On the question of future, in short term BNP offers best ALTERNATIVE to destruction we faced and will be facing. But in the long term BNP with its current leadership and political practice does not have strategic acumen to carry forward a sustainable next level (8-10%) GDP growth.

Corruption is not the problem. Getting behind in the race of Civilizations is. You'd probably call me paranoid at this point, but that's how I see it and that's why I'm so interested in observing India's rise to global superpower status and the respect & superior racial status for the Indic people that comes with it.

I want ourselves to prove our worth by aggressively pursuing the forefronts of technology and reach Japan's standards of living within my lifetime!!!!!! Else we should just somehow nuke ourselves and rid the world of this useless population burden!

Is it funny that i always think that the two party leader should get some handful money & leave us forever.
Because they r pushing us behind to steal some amount of money where losing countries prosperity.They r doing unwanted & unnecessary deals with other countries which is beneficiary for them but not for us.

1 - BAL might be very submissive towards India, but BNP couldn't achieve much either (water sharing, border killings, trade deficit) in our dealings with India. They do seem to be slightly better than AL in enforcing law & order though.

2 - Again, we've seen them in action twice. We need aggressive leadership to rapidly industrialize, not a bunch of Falus and Harises busy building their own mini zoos at their mansions. Do they have anyone bold enough to take unpopular, decisive decisions to cut population, ban student politics or separate EC, Judiciary, Police from the Executive? NONE!

Now you have shown your character, just like any closet awami supporters. You talking about police, judiciary, EC and corruption. You got to have shame uttering those in the name of Awami League.

Any you should have traitors written all over your face defending Awami anti state activities. Even Awami political partners are identified Hasina's advisors as indian stooges. Awami ministers openly advocates for Tipaimukh dam. Awami general secretary openly say border killing of Bangladeshis are small matter and Awami league is not bothered by it. No one in BNP ever say such a thing or pursue anti state policy like awami league.

What water sharing treaty you talking about? Awami League let Farraka to be operational. And then signed a treaty consented to share water from farraka point than natural flow of the river. As a result indian withdrawing water even before water reaching farakka point and no water left to share. You can not defend awami decption. You can not claim credit for awami league signing farraka treaty when awami league itself let farraka to be operational.

You have no clue about what you are talking about other then few awami template statements. Because Falu and Harris did not run Bangladesh economy. Saifur Rahman did. And till today he remains best performer as finance and economic manager. Besides, despite all shortcomings BNP did deliver best performance in GDP; close to 7%.

And BNP DID NOT loot stock market like Awami league did. Awami league looted stock market not once but twice; once in 1996 and second time in 2009-2010. Bankrupting millions of investors.


BNP did not loot and bankrupt banks in the name of rental power plants.

It was in BNP which boosted manpower export and remittance collection significantly. That is why people still seeing high remittance as a trailing end effect. Whereas awami league destroyed manpower export market.

BNP ran current account surplus where as Awami league is running deficit.

Its clear you are not here (in this thread) for economic discussion but to equate and score points on be half of Awami league activities.

How about 1/2 point? Almost all close relative of La-Hasina lives in USA/UK/Canada permanently. This donkey is rootless in Bangladesh.

Khalida's family all about Bangladesh. They are all in Bangladesh living with Bangladeshis.

So, I agree that donkey hasina need so be kicked out. Sooner is better but Khalida zia got no other place beside Bangladesh.
