Khan is actually not an Islamic title. It existed long before Islam in mid or east Asia. It's just the people holding the title of that areas later converted to Islam and it expanded.

Gamma DE radar

It has a range of 10-360km. Altitude of 30km. Able to track 100-200 targets. Has average crew of 5 people.

Designed to detect a broad range of air targets, including small-size highaltitude air-launched missiles, measure their range, azimuth and elevation and track these targets in natural clutter and jamming environments. This is a target acquisition, guidance and target designation radar equipped with a solid state phased antenna array. The radar is used in automated control systems of the Air Defense and Air Force and in nonautomated systems. The radar can also be used to control civilian ATC systems.

The radar features:
- modular design;
- transmission/reception phased array: active transmission mode and semiactive in reception mode;
- isoaltitude (ISA) and isorange (ISR) observation modes;
- solid state transmitter;
- digital processing of signals with coordinate and track data output;
- microprocessors and microcomputers used to process radar data and exercise automated control and monitoring;
- built-in automated test and diagnostics system;
- interface with dedicated antiradar missile protection systems;
- comprehensive crew training facilities.



The radar comprises:
- rotary antenna assembly;
- data processing, control and transmission equipment;
- ground-based radio interrogator;
- electric power plant;

Gamma-DE is an advanced air target detection radar. The radar operates reliably at an ambient temperature of ±50 oC, a relative humidity of up to 98% and wind velocity of up to 25 m/s. The maximum height of deployment above sea level is 2,000 m

Has a range of 5-150km, altitude of 6km, it can track at least 50 targets, crew of 2.

The radar can also detect «stealth» and water surface targets.

The Kasta-2E2 mobile solid-state radar can be used to support the operation of the air defense, coastal defense and border surveillance systems, rapid deployment forces, and as part of air traffic control systems of civil aviation.

- built-in computer system based on high-capacity computers;
- fully solid-state transmitter;
- digital signal processing system featuring pulse compression and controlled Doppler filters;

The radar offers stable operation at an ambient temperature of ±50 oC, a relative humidity of up to 98% and wind velocity of up to 25 m/s.

The permissible radar site elevation above sea level is up to 3,000 m. The Kasta-2E2 radar is a promising automated radar that has proved its operational efficiency against smallsize low-flying (including low-speed) targets and is noted for high jamming immunity, reliability, high level of automation, operating safety and convenience, ease of maintenance, as well as low price and operating costs

IMO this helicopter is a good buy. I guess it will be mostly used for transporting troops, distributing aid during disasters. With a range of 580km and with a space to carry 4000kg, it will allow our troops to be deployed all over the country as well as distribute aid in huge amounts during disaster. Its ability to perform in various types of weather will definately be a plus for us. Even though it may not be as good as an attack helicopter, it is quite adequate for us.
