Azerbaijan is situated in the Caucasus region, on the crossroads of Europe and Asia. Three physical features dominate Azerbaijan: the Caspian Sea, whose shoreline forms a natural boundary to the east; the Greater Caucasus mountain range to the north; and the extensive flatlands at the country's center. About the size of Portugal or the state of Maine, Azerbaijan has a total land area of approximately 86,600 square kilometers, less than 1% of the land area of the former Soviet Union. Of the three Transcaucasian states, Azerbaijan has the greatest land area. Special administrative subdivisions are the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, which is separated from the rest of Azerbaijan by a strip of Armenian territory, and the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region, entirely within Azerbaijan. Located in the region of the southern Caucasus Mountains, Azerbaijan borders the Caspian Sea to the east, Georgia and Russia to the north, Iran to the south, and Armenia to the southwest and west. A small part of Nakhchivan also borders Turkey to the northwest. The capital of Azerbaijan is the ancient city of Baku, which has the largest and best harbor on the Caspian Sea and has long been the center of the republic's oil industry.

Nagorno Karabakh is Azerbaijani land. In 1989-1995 by the power of Russia armenians occupied it. But it is internationally recognized as Azerbaijani land. Just for a now it is under armenians control. But Azerbaijan is doing everything to finish armenian occupation in Karabakh.

Even the word Karabakh is turkic word, means "Black Garden" referring to beautiful nature of this land.

Nagorno Karabakh is Azerbaijani land. In 1989-1995 by the power of Russia armenians occupied it. But it is internationally recognized as Azerbaijani land. Just for a now it is under armenians control. But Azerbaijan is doing everything to finish armenian occupation in Karabakh.

Thanks for the information, what was the excuse of armenia of capturing NK if it is recognized by the UN?

Azerbaijan is our brotherly country. But its policies are really stink. They can't fight and defeat smaller enemy Armenia. Then they have close relations with Zionazi regime and expect support from Muslim countries at the same time. They demolish mosques in their country. Then they have bad relations with Iran that has more Azeris than Azerbaijan itself. While they try to be close to Russia, a ally of Armenia, and take Turkish support for granted.

No excuse, because behind that is Russia. UN does not recognize NK and demands Armenian army to leave the occupied lands. And there certain rules that UN asks from Armenia, but Armenia does not follow these rules and keep it's occupation over NK.
Even Republic of Armenia does not recognize NK as their land, they recognize it as a occupation. But still it does not matter for world, because the biggest problem is Russia.

1. My brother, we were not fighting and we are not fighting with Armenia. It was and it is russian army who support armenians. If Russia leaves Armenia, I swear God, we need just 1 day to destroy all armenians. But whenever we had war with Armenia, always we fought against russian army not armenian army. That is problem. You saw what happened in 2008 between Russia and Georgia. We dont want to act like Georgia and loose this land forever. We are waiting for a good time.

2. Yes we have a good relationship with Israel. We get military support from them. But it does not mean that we support their crimes. We have just business with them. And second, Iran supported and is supporting our enemy Armenia always despite the biggest minority in Iran is azerbaijanians. Iran always hurts azerbaijanians in Iran. Iran does not give rights them and etc. That is why we have a good-bad relation with Iran. And Iran scares that if they keep good relation with Azerbaijan, then 30 million azeri turks in Iran will demand to join Republic of Azerbaijan.
And we didnt demolish any mosque. It was just some prepared propaganda against Azerbaijan government for a while. Nowdays you cant see such news.

3. We try to be close with Russia, because they support armenians. We want to build good relation with Russia to effect armenians.
About Turkey I can say that they are always with us in every situation and we are brothers just like with pakistanies.

Turkey is a very friendly country to Azerbaijan.I am glad Azerbaijan is modern!The girls are beautiful.Nice to see Muslims countries that look like modern developed countries.Not fake artificial one like Dubai.

Gobustan National park

Gobustan National Park is located west of the settlement of Gobustan, about 40 miles southwest of the centre of Baku was established in 1966 when the region was declared as a national historical landmark of Azerbaijan in an attempt to preserve the ancient carvings, mud volcanoes and gas-stones in the region.

Gobustan National Park is very rich in archeological monuments, the reserve has more than 600,000 rock paintings, which depict primitive men, animals, battle-pieces, ritual dances, bullfights, boats with armed oarsmen, warriors with lances in their hands, camel caravans, pictures of sun and stars, on the average dating back to 5,000-20,000 years. Gobustan is in the list of UNESCO world's heritage.
