Dil Behlane Ke Liye

Ah, here they are.

All that we need to do to make the Pakistanis shit their pants is parade Fadnavis in his khaki shorts and knock knees in front of them.

Rout guaranteed.

I am not sure which specific election you are talking about, my statement was regarding BJP government by which Modi Ji rose to power.

:D Look it up. And then try to figure out what that means, and what the rabble of bhakts who crowded out every dissenting Indian voice actually represented.

. .
Are you trying to say BJP rigged the election? Because no way a 31% can make government where the "other" has 61%?

LOL.

Calm down.

That was the popular vote.

It is a well-known defect in 'first past the post' systems that even a party getting a very low share of the popular vote may land up with a majority of seats. The losing combination(s) win a few with massive majorities, but lose the majority of seats by a few hundred votes. When added up, their massive majorities and wafer thin ones add up to a very large popular vote, but a defeat in terms of seats.

Still, the fact remains that the popular vote was 2 is to 1 for the UPA, yet the NDA won.

Ironic, and bitter.

wow!! army that cant properly feed its soldiers is ranked 5th best in the world!!

Janab @Joe Shearer , the morale here isn’t down to the point where we need “Business Insider” to tell us about our military prowess.

Many other reputable and relevant publications exist that still use thorough research and the modicum of printed magazines that still rank our military prowess fairly high as well and not just based on men&material quantities.

I am surprised how many people took this light-hearted post so seriously. Personally, I put no value in lists of any kind; if the levity was not apparent, then the whole point is lost.

In today’s environment, the light heartedness has been replaced with sheer bloodlust and anger.
Gone are the days when one could wistfully hope for driving across wagah in a Quetta plated car without care and return via a crossing in Kashmir.

The combination of a hyperactive media and prevalent nationalism/extremism on both sides has left no space but for tanks and napalm.

But, as a devils advocate.. will that death and destruction on both sides really be a bad thing?
Sometimes one needs a toll like Europe’s(by contrast we really haven’t killed each other that much in modern times) many millions.

In some cold part of me I yearn for a good culling of some 70 odd here and 300 odd at your end.. millions.. to balance out the environment and protect the region a 100 years from today.
But then I’d be accused of Hugo Drax like hollywood’esque mania.

There was no sweep. Their coalition got 39% of the vote (I remember it as 31% myself, but another member insists it was 39%). That means 61% of Indians voted for someone else. Which is more of a sweep, 39 or 61?

And, oh, btw, they're losing everything in sight in the by-elections. They won the north-east, because the north-east needs to learn how bad they really are, besides there being a long tradition of that region to vote for the party in power at the centre.

BJP got 31%. NDA's tally would be higher.

I agree with @Oscar . People are getting killed across LOC and this no time to joke.
