Funny question.
Any idea why Punjabi Sikhs and Hindus would ever want to be a part of a country where they are second class citizens? Why would they want to join an Islamic country?

I would say West Bengalis might still consider Bangladesh or Bangladeshis might consider united Bengal under India as there is secularism in both BD and India with equal rights and responsibilities to all...unlike Pakistan.

Your Parliament giving a statement on the hanging on Jamati leader in Bangladesh. Pakistani Parliament had no business interfering in BD's internal affairs...yet it did.

Then Imran Khans statements on top of that.

I dont think the highest body of Pakistan ie the Parliament is to be taken lightly. That is clear that Jamat-e-Islami of Bangladesh has strong relations with Pakistan.

There's a big difference between supporting Jamaat and condemning an act of heinous injustice perpetrated by the state on its citizen (who in this case happens to be a leader of Jamaat).

all i know is that the idea of a united punjab would spread like wild fire and if our section of punjab were to promote it then no body can stop it…

How little you know then.

When was the last time Sikhs & Muslims lived together ?

Funny that Pakistan does not comment on act of heinous injustice for other than jamaat leaders. They do not comment when China hangs people left and right based on spurious reasons.

They broke protocol for a jamaat leader. It shows that they have a strong connection with jamaat. There is a reason jamaat is considered traitors and Pakistani agents.

In 1947, our forefathers enthusiastically supported Partition and we became eastern wing of Pakistan. Some of our leaders claimed that we were being discriminated against and exploited upon, and we need our separate country, with instigation from India and Soviet Union, both enemies of our people and still are biggest enemies of Muslims. These traitors were not eliminated in time and they became popular based on a great big lie and hoax and with Indian help instigated a civil war in 1971. Many innocent civilian died in the civil war.

For the last 43 years many of our people believed a lie that we have become independent in 1971. But based on our experience from overt and covert interference of India in our internal affairs, it has become crystal clear to all that we did not become independent in 1971. Rather we became a virtual colony of India. So Bangladesh can be called an Indo-Soviet project, which robbed of the future of the people of our land-mass. During brief rules of BNP, ruled by late Zia and Khaleda Zia, we made attempts to become independent, but every time we ended up in failure. So these can be called temporary phenomenons and not the real character and nature of this country called Bangladesh, which is essentially a colony of India, created to serve Indian interest and ruin the future of the people of its landmass.

Lets hear your opinion, the poll is open to all PDF forum members, Bangladeshi's and non-Bangladeshi's.

believe it or not…. besides religion everything is the same… i know because i have friends who are punjabis from punjab in india… we do everything the same except religion and sikhs are even similar to muslims in some of the things they do.
why is this even a surprise... both are similar.. but dreaming of greater punjab is a bit too far...
remember how both sides kill each other during partition? the wound has not healed yet.

I am a Pakistani Punjabi and would Hate to see Punjab getting united, Our Punjab is ours yours is yours. End of the story I don't know why some daft people want it united. Pakistani Punjabis share nothing with Indian punjabis we are Different as Pakistani are different than Indians in general.

Please provide a hard evidence of our assumed support for the Jamat.

Your support for @kalu_miah in his Caliphate is the evidence !!!

Of course, they would start by cleansing and subjugating Eastern Punjab of its non-believers! That way, there would be no question of being second class citizens!!!

This is the Nominal GDP of Bangladesh and Pakistan since 1971.

Source of the above data can be found here: List of countries by past and future GDP (nominal) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Islamic Republic of Pakistan lost more than half of it's population after the 1971 war, which meant losing more than half of it's workforce, lost 1/6 of it's territory, faced war and annexation from Afghanistan, nuclear threat from India, crippling sanctions from the United States, invasion from the Soviet Union, occupation of territory by India, more sanctions from the United States and finally facing NATO in Afghanistan.

Just look at the above table and look at the GDP for 1971 and 1972 for both countries. In the last 43 years, Bangladesh's GDP has only contracted for two years (1981 and 1982) while Pakistan's GDP has contracted at least six times (1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002 and 2009).

Despite the huge population rise in Pakistan, Bangladesh has consistently lagged behind Pakistan for the past 43-years.

This poor economic performance is also a proof that India has been sucking Bangladesh dry as its colonial possession, with the help of its agents in place, and proof positive that Bangladesh is nothing but a colony of India. And this despite the fact that Pakistan had to deal with massive upheaval due to the decade long Afghan war and the resulting radicalization and insurgency that still plagues Pakistan today.

Bangladesh always had rich fertile land and plenty of water from rivers, but these rivers were dammed up by India one by one, restricting flow in lean season and opening flood gates in rainy season. Without Indian interference in internal politics and the water terrorism, Bangladesh could easily achieve 10% growth rate and could become like Malaysia today, but what holds us back is Indian colonization of Bangladesh and using Awami League as its new Hindu East India Company.

As a percentage comparison of GDP between Bangladesh and Pakistan shows that Bangladesh is steadily catching up to Pakistan. It is reducing the gap between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

All this despite the fact that Bangladesh is a massively overpopulated state with little natural resources and started off with dire poverty the likes of which Pakistan has never seen on account of Pakistan Punjab providing enough food for the rest of Pakistan.

Personally speaking, I think BD went from being East Pakistan to being an unofficial part of India. It's not a secret to anyone about how much influence India has in BD.

Ya & no secret to anyone how much BDians are living in India,we did you guys a favor believe me
