so its not like after independence they became our colony as razakars trying to show here. (basically to prove that independence was inherently evil, and also to cosy up with some pakistanis here).

Its only after hasina came to power, things change to pro indian, and India got influence there. This also coincided with 9/11, dehyphenation with pakistan by USA admin, and BD saw the writing on the wall.
If you guys are wishing BNP will turn anti Indian, you might be surprised.

I don't know about Pakistani Punjabis but in Indian Punjab only the old folk would want it due to a lot of them being from Pakistan. The younger generation would absolutely hate the idea for obvious reasons. The fact is we have little to do with Pakistani Punjabis. You guys follow a different Punjabi culture which is Arab influenced whereas we follow our own unique culture which has evolved over centuries. Culturally we have more in common with other North Indians.

That koolaid narrative will no longer fly. We know who did what in excruciating detail to believe the BS above any more. India plotted with people in Awami League to create a colony, but Zia upset their plan, but they got the situation under control eventually, after brief interludes of Khaleda's rule.

Khaleda Zia is pretty much finished. Many RAW agents infiltrated within BNP, but India trusts only Hasina and when she is gone, India may try to bring Joy, but he is not likely to succeed like Hasina. He does not know how to deal with Bangladeshi people. So India's plan is doomed to fail, but who will explain that to the delusional idiots in South Block?

During brief rules of BNP, ruled by late Zia and Khaleda Zia, we made attempts to become independent, but every time we ended up in failure. So these can be called temporary phenomenons and not the real character and nature of this country called Bangladesh, which is essentially a colony of India, created to serve Indian interest and ruin the future of the people of its landmass.

In summary, we got independence from Pakistan but india hijacked our independence. Indian method of hijacking is through Awami League subservient, sushil class and above all hindus. In broader schema of things getting independence from Pakistan just to hand over sovereignty to india is worthless detrimental exercise.

Muslim Bengal fought to achieve United Pakistan. Muslim Bengal getting "independence" from United Pak is like saying it got "independence" from itself, which grammatically implies simply getting owned.

the fall of Siraj ud Daula and his Mughal saltanat marked the beginning of the end of Muslim Bengal. right after, the ascent of Hindu pundits and zamindars, and decline of Muslims, foretold what was to become of this large Muslim population isolated from other Muslim-administered lands. the isolation of Muslim Bengal from its neighborhood was accentuated by the 1947 Partition.

something to think about: one elderly person thinking out loud once said, Bengali Muslims and other big Muslim populations of the British Raj (such as Hyderabad Muslims) should have been made to migrate to today's Pakistan (i.e. NW of then British Raj) and that Pakistan should have been made a lot larger. that would have been very helpful

Pakistani businessmen already did that, but Hasina and India is trying to kick them out. What we need is a combined effort led by Turkey, Indonesia, Malaysia and Pakistan, to invest and partner with Bangladeshi businessman. Currently all top businessmen have sold out the country and came to understanding with Indians, so they can continue to make money and ship it off overseas.
