Films from India have been proscribed in Bangladesh since 1972, the year after the country's independence, to protect the local film-making industry. However, the number of cinemas has fallen from 1,600 a decade ago to 600 this year, a decline which cinema exhibitors attribute to poor-quality homegrown films failing to draw viewers. At the same time, Indian films are hugely popular in Bangladesh and locals can get their Bollywood fix on cable TV and through pirated copies which circulate widely.

One is illiterate class. They love to watch bengali movies. They dont understand hindi
and English.Another class is educated class. They love to watch English movies only.
But both of them watch Hindi/Tamil and other kinds of movies in their own places.

because both literates and illeterates watch hindi movie, they have a captive market waiting to be served.

Indian films will release very soon. There is absolutely no other way these multiplexes can survive. There is a contract signed between a local production house and Shree Venkatesh Films, the biggest production house in Kolkata to make 200 digital cinema halls (including multiplexes) all over the country. The existing multiplex, Star Cineplex also seeks permission to information ministry to allow them to make 20 more multiplexes in the country. Bollywood films are coming to BD theaters very soon.
