I just think that the research was biased to some extent. Nothing too special about Vancouver.

But their study on Dhaka is however accurate.

I have lived in many countries, and Dhaka is the worst city I have ever lived in I just hate it.

I look forward to visit Tehran one day. That place sounds awesome, and I do admire Persian art, culture and history.

From what I hear, Tehran is not a place to party or have fun, but it's steep in culture and art, great food and people too. There's cheap flights from Kuala Lumpur to Tehran via Air Asia (If you're from Bangkok, i'm sure you've heard of this airline), maybe you should check it out.

Are this cities, especially Tehran really that bad compared to the hundreds of impoverish African cities?

Every friend of mine who has been to Tehran has only said good things about it.

A city where a woman can be arrested for not covering her hair will naturally go down the list on the basis of low individual freedom.

Unlike the Iran haters here, i have actually been in Tehran. Its really not as bad as folks try to make it look like. It, making this list has a lot to do with the smear campaigns being launched against it by the "west".

I can understand why culture/environment and infrastructure got low ratings. But why the hell is the healthcare rating and the education rating so low. And what the hell is tehran doing here. They got some of the best of persian culture there and yet they get the least culture rating. I see some biasness here.

Ok i take your word for it. However many chinese cities are smoggy too, but they are not below tehran. I also expected tehran's history, arts, culture etc. to pull up the rating for culture/environment. It cant be the worst among all the cities

I think thats because their centrifuges are operated with out international assistance who are poineers in the field.
and the air emissions from them might be the reason.
