Dhaka is not beautiful but unique city: A foreigner's view

Going through the thread, PDF Bangladeshi's are in a different league of delusion.

@UKBengali RSTP or not, do you think other cities will not have similar development plans (or even grandeur one) into the future. So what is criteria then, who can dream bigger? We can only compare what is already there today not on your imagination.

Bangladesh has one city to even talk about. That is a shame for a country of 160 million.

Dude, it is all about relative growth.
Dhaka is pretty much near the bottom when it comes to major cities in terms of infrastructure.
By 2035, it will have infrastructure that can rival any other large metropolis in the world.

Stupid, tell us which Megapolis have you ever seen when you live in a fishing village near Buruganga? Do you think people believe you because you come with an English flag? No false flag, please, come with knowledge and prudence with two BD flags.

But, I am happy to see you are no longer claiming yourself the descendant of Shakespeare. But, your disease of prophesizing future is still there.

' Will' is the keyword here. It is always used in future tense. Are we there yet?

Dhaka RSTP 2015-2035 is being worked on as we speak.

I suggest you study this in detail before commenting further.

If only one can predict future on just the plans conceived. India would have been superpower in 2012. Yet here we are, struggling as much as next third world country.

India superpower 2012 and 2020 was just silly.

Dhaka RSTP is well thought out and fully feasible with Japanese and BD funding and mainly Japanese technology.

Please do not compare the two.

What an inferiority complex you have dude.

Must suck being unintelligent - nothing you can do to change it as your parents bred and passed on their unintelligent genes to you.:(

Yep Bongles are super intelligent, Thats very evident in this very forum, Cannot comprehend a simple request and fleeing when obnoxious lies are debunked

Bottom of Barrel?
Yeah right!

Your frustration is showing as you lot are just not as smart as BD'shis!

While you sold yourself to China, BD engages with the major countries in the world for it's economic development.
External debt is just 14% of GDP in BD while it has gone to 60% in Sri Lanka.

BD fast economic growth is secure(8%+) for another decade, while Sri Lanka grows at just 4% a year while still at middle-income level of 14000 US dollar per capita GDP PPP.

My friend, I lived most of my life in North America, when I visited Pakistan last year, going to Karachi, Islo/Pindi then drive to Lahore. Other than the old City parts, a large parts of these cities makes you feel like you are in a developed country. The only issue i saw was in Karachi is that PPP govt has stopped picking up garbage, traveling from Pindi to Lahore and you would think you are going from Toronto to Monteral. BD needs decades to catch up, I guess Pakistani still have losts of jute money stashed up somewhere.
But Pakistan has the nuisances/curses of frequent earthquakes and scarcity/dearth of water.
