Why not Syrian S-300?

Syria is under sanction. They are not allowed to deploy abroad like Greece can. Greece is in NATO and EU so they get a lot of flexibility. Plus they get backing from US since they are grand daddy of science and western civilization.

Also SOM don't have the range to strike S-400.

And even if Turkey uses SOM to strike Jufra Russia uses Iskander to strike Watiya so it's best both sides cool it.

The only version of S-300 used by Russia is S-300PMU2 range 250 km. Most likely it is S-400 range 400 km which out ranges SOM.

If it is an older version it's not used by Russians. Russians only use newest version.
