Turkey only has at most a dozen TB2 in Libya. While inexpensive as far as UCAV go, they are still several million USD each, a hefty cost considering Turkey's current economic woes. MiG-29, SU-35 armed with R-77-1 can down TB2 from dozens of km away, not to mention they can engage multiple targets at the same time.

Neither Turkey nor Russia will ever withdraw from Syria and Libya, no matter how big the economic problems at home. Hell, can't see them withdraw even after Erdogan and Putin's rules.

The drones are not a property of the Turkish Government. They are drones bought by the Libyan Government and controlled by a Turkish crews in conjunction to the military agreement between the two countries.

So it seems Russia won't let Haftar down. Is this the "surprise" LNA was talking about yesterday ?

The big question is what will be the role of those aircrafts ? Provide air support to the LNA ? Provide air support and cover for Wagner ? We aren't talking about mercenaries but well Russian assets and service members..... What would be Turkey's reaction ?

Libya government has even less money. Libya has no more oil export. All the oil fields are controlled by rebels. Unless Qatar pays for TB2.

I think used for shooting down TB2 drones. Armed with R-77-1 missiles range 110 km. MiG-29SMT were previously used in Syria campaign.
