Sirte Wasn't taken bc it was well defended, GNA lost a lot of soldier 50-70, forcing your way without air defence against those jets (Mirages/Migs) would have cost a lot. Better working on our gains and prepering the next push. We also lost at least 2 TB-2 on the process.

Or they are expecting Haftar to give up on sirte + jufra for some portion of the oil and keeping his chair.
He is in pathetic condition, he goes door by door almost to every country in east med : israel, greece, italy and egypt.
He knows,if he looses in sirte +jufra he wont able to defend and grab onto benghazi will be swept to egyptian border, that is why he urged egypt to intervene to defend Benghazi and portion of oil crescent ,especially in case of breakout in front lines.
Haftar doesn't trust his troops or tribes, neither of the forces in sirte of jufra.
Sirte is not heavily defended, not as much as south tripoli, it is protected by Russian & Emirati jets and now GNA operates far from logistic centers. and it takes time to transfer troops or support.
The final deal is not about sirte of jufra, it is the oil wells and pipes.
