Details of aerial fly past on Republic day

On what basis are you claiming that Mig 29 or Jaguar are safer to fly than Mirage 2000?

.

First learn how to discuss properly and not like 10th stand kids:

You made the claim, so you have to come up with evidence.

And get it in your head that there are dozens of factors which have to taken into account when you talk about flight safety.

.
Depending on the weather and also the security threat-perception; the President either rides his Mercedes S600 Pullman State Limousine or the Presidential horse-drawn buggy.

Do you literally mean a horse-drawn cart? Has any President arrived on horsecart for the republic day parade? When was the last time?

That should be an interesting spectacle.

.
So how will Obama's security figure in? Any details?

Will there be the Beast nearby? And what about those kitted out Secret Services GMC's? Will the inner cordon protocol be of both Secret Service and Indian security or only Indian?
I think the Beast will follow directly behind the President of India's S600 pullman OR the beast and its GMC escorts will simply follow directly behind the President of India's motorcade and not inter-mix, we'll have to see. The norm is for the chief guest to ride in the President of India's motorcade but this being the POTUS and the Americans being their usual arrogant selves want to have Obama ride in the Beast.

Inner protocol of Obama will be jointly manned by both Secret Service and the SPG as it was in 2010 and as is the norm for any visiting state visiting any part of the world.

Sir, the president of India has only revived this tradition last year for the beating retreat ceremony (although his S600 Pullman is not far behind) not arriving at the Republic day ceremony, for sure he will be in the S600.

I don't think this single engined rule is true.

Mirage 2000 is a much safer plane to fly than Mig29 or Jaguar.

You are confusing different issues. A mirage-2K is easier to fly because of its FBW system, its handling qualities and so on. It is also safer in a sense, because the FBW system will not allow the pilot to execute dangerous manuevers beyond the values it was designed for.

But on republic day parades, aircrafts do not perform any dangerous maneuvers, like they do in air shows or in combat. They only "fly past" the spectators. The only danger that can (reasonably) occur is engine failure, say due to a bird hit. In such cases, a twin engined fighter obviously has more survivability than a single engined one.

They are just being over cautious, that even in the event of a bird strike or engine flameout for any reason, the aircraft will fly (limp) back to safety, and not crash into the audience.

.
Flying Tejas over an urban area is not wise for obvious reasons but whats the danger in flying the M2K??
THE EXACT SAME DANGER. Single engine= zero engine redundancy. What is so special about the Mirage 2000? It is prone to flame out and bird strikes just like any other single engined aircraft (fixed wing and rotary wing) as such ALL SINGLE ENGINED FIGHTERS ARE BARRED FROM REPUBLIC DAY FLYPASTS. NO EXCEPTIONS.

If anything the LCA is more safe than the Mirage 2000 with its digital quadruplex fly by wire system and zero crashes to its name but that changes little, it is a single engined fighter and thus will never fly in the Republic day spectacle.

I have made a claim that the sun rises in the east. I would expect anybody even an idiot like you to know that.

Same way everyone knows how safe it is to fly Mirage 2000 when compared to ancient Jaguar or junk Mig 29

If you are a 10th stand kid whatever that means you are in the wrong place. Go to school

Don't be too sure about the no exceptions part

Rediff On The NeT:India parades Kargil success on Republic Day

Tejas has not crashed as yet as it has yet to clock 1000 hours.

Mirage 2000 fleet globally has clocked in lakhs of hours.

Idiot ? You are the only uneducated idiot here. First learn how to have a discussion. You cannot prove what you are blabbering with empirical data....... the only crap you come up with are your nonsensical out of proportion comparisons, because you dont have anything better..

Thats why you are not posting any relevant data to support what you are saying. And saying that the Mig 29 is "junk" already says volumes about your "knowledge" on aviation.

Pathetic

On what basis are you claiming that Mig 29 or Jaguar are safer to fly than Mirage 2000?

Keep in mind 350 hours engine life on Mig29 and 1100 hours airframe life on Mig29 with overhaul every 25, 50, 100, 150 and 350 hours.

Stop copy&pasting your previous posts.

You are the one made the claim that the Mirage is safer than the Mig 29 .... You are the one who said the Mig 29 is "junk" etc etc

So YOU need to come up with evidence to show US that you are not talking BS....

10 out of roughly 60 Mirages have crashed.

20-25 Mig29's of 86 have crashed.

Roughly 40-50 Jaguars have crashed out of 170 approx

Really there is no comparing safety of M2K vs Mig29 or Jaguar

Proof given kid now shut up

1.) Another copy & paste job :disagree:

2.) "20-25" Migs have crashed ? "approx 170" Jaguars? Are you kidding me?! Are even to lazy to check your own freaking claims now? Have you been guessing or are those numbers fantasy? From where are those numbers if not from your imagination?

3.) Of those which crashed: What was the cause for crashes? Have you checked the outcome of the investigations?

4.) You are only making yourself appear stupid with each post....

Facts already presented for ignorant people like you.

Even an idiot would know that Mirage 2000 is much safer to fly than Jagaur or Mig29.
