Guys, just read one interesting fact(Though I heard about it since I was kid,but never thoroughly studied it)

in Orrisa, there was a powerful Gajapati Kingdom which ruled Orrisa, large parts of Andhra pradesh,Madhya Pradesh and Bengal from 1435 to 1541.it was a militarily powerful kingdom, which defended itself against Vijaynagar,Sultanate of Bengal and Jaunpur and increased their power and empire significantly.though in series of battles, they lost to Vijaynagar(Mighty Empire) King Deva Raya-II initially, but they defeated them several times and captured some parts(Rajamahendri,Udaygiri,Chandragiri) of Vijaynagar empire too.

but their decline started mainly due to Bhakti Movement,a religious movement led Chaitanya Mohaprovu,an unlikely person for this kind of job(as he is considered as a reincarnation of Lord Krishna).his movement had so powerful effects on King Prataparudra that he he left his empire to live an ascetic life as well as his empire's military culture.his empire was taken when his minister Govinda Vidyadhara killed emperor's sons and brother and established Bhoi Dynasty.but Bhakti Movement destroyed the moral of Orrissa Army.once militarily powerful empire was destroyed(or better say reduced) when Sultans of Bengal attacked using one Orissa general who converted to Islam and joined Afghan,"KalaPahad".entire empire and most of its hindu culture was literally gets destroyed.

Is there any more example of this kind of "Fall of an empire" on the hands of some non violent Religious Movement??
