Deserter army doctors in US, UK in trouble

How can they use those qualifications? These qualifications should be directly tied to the army and any employer trying to hire would know of their flight from active duty.

lol you need to give credit to today's army

The Army afraid people won't join because soldier leaving the Army will have a hard time adjusting to civilian life, becauase stuff that they do in the army may not be regonised by civilian authority. So, army and all his wisdom decided to make their specialist certification stardard with any other civilian structure.

say if you are a chef in the military, you have the same qualification awarded to you as in you do a commercial cookery or culinary art diploma. Which is the same as what any college in America gave, which by the way, internationally regonised.

Same deal with Lawyer, Doctor, Accountant, Logistic, Mechanic and IT field in the Military

They deserve a bullet between their eyes for abandoning their country and the Army !!! :pissed:
It's the money that makes the mare go. And the high life and freedom that have forced them to desert.

However, this shows total lack of discipline of the officers of the medical corps. Unfortunately, developing Officer-like Qualities (OLQ) etc are never part of the curriculum of the Army Medical College. So there's a big difference between army doctors and officers of the fighting arms.

But why have the authorities woken up now after more than a decade?

that being true. the same applies if you have outstanding dues towards a school or college you wont receive your diploma or cannot pull your transcript till dues are paid. even if you manage to get your diploma, the place of employment will check it by verifying with the school. thats what happens in the civilian structure. Should it not be harder or impossible to pick up and leave in the military? but i get your point about the army being flexible due to drop in recruitment fears.

Well, the problem is, Military set the rules so people can work for them after graduate, not before.

I know that is how civilian sector worked, if you don't pay up, you get your diploma on hold. Simply because the school in itself can control the civilian sector and wherever they go after graduate is not of the school problem.

But in Military, it will be a scandle if we allow a JAG Lawyer to defend someone in Miltary court with a "Withhold" Degree. Or a Doctor in the military to operate on fellow soldier with a withholding medical degree.

What i think is tighter Visa control, so it's under the host visa requirement to ask that exchange officer to leave the host country once whatever exchange has done.
