‘Desecration’ holy book causes uproar in Sikh community

Anyone irrespective of religion entering the place where the Adi Guru is placed need to cover his head!
yes mate anyone who enters a Gurdwara has to cover his/her head by a scarf as its the rule and he/she should behave according to the rule of the Gurdwara.i have visited Gurdwaras a couple of times with my Sikh friends here in my city and whenever i enter into a Gurdwara i always cover my head with a scarf.

Interesting... do note how no one was arrested on charges of blasphemy but then when the Quran is defiled something happens in the bum of mullahs and they begin ranting. This is a classic example of laws being used and applied selectively. In either case I do not think the issue between Sikh and Hindu community should have been complicated further with allegations of blasphemy.

But still its a point to ponder. Blasphemy law applies only to insults against Muslims but why does it not apply when a muslim gardener calls a Christian a ***** or something else? Law is selectively being applied here.

Theres more muslims in jail on charges of Blasphemy then non muslims........and if your muslims how can you disrespect jesus.
If you where in a argument with a christian you might say all sorts of things but am pretty sure you are not going to say anything against jesus.

I have never visited a Gurudwara. Perhaps it's high time to go now.
There's a Gurdwara in Dwarka. . .if u ever visit Dwarka just taste the Pulao and suji halwa served there.U would be confused as to whether the suji is cooked in ghee or the ghee is cooked in suji!!And I dont want to talk about the pulao since I am on a diet!!

If any of you'll are from Kolkata he would know that recently Koel Mallick a Bengali film star and daughter of famous Bengali actor Ranjit Mallick got married to the son of Surinder Singh (owner of Surrinder films)and the family members of Koel actually insisted on covering their heads before entering the room of the Adi Guru even though they were said by the prabandhak committee that their was no obligation!!

These petty reasons are equals to reason for fight between married persons. "Who is going to bolt the doors today night", "Who is going to take out the dustbin today" or "Why the tea tastes like ****.." etc. etc. Just like in Mahabharata "A small game went on to become one of the deadliest war".

Let me get this right - holding the book without head cover is "desecration"? Is there anything we will not be willing to take offense at? We have gone from Freedom of Religion to Freedom FROM religion

When i see this kind of news...Then i realize...why China is a growing power of this century....
