Well that is that individual's right. He is 1 Arab out of over 500 million. He speaks for himself. If he thinks that his Arab Jewish opponent is representing an hostile apartheid state who has done a lot of harm to his fellow brethren in Palestine, it is very much his right to ignore his opponent who represents that very same entity.

Hatred? Speaking the truth is hatred now?

Envy of what exactly? Of living in a tiny country (one of the smallest in the world) surrounded by hostile enemies that your entity has created on their very own? For having a tiny population? For having a tiny economy? For having no resources?

Sure, you have done well in science but there are more Arab scientists out there and this gap will only grow bigger in the favor of us Arabs like with everything else.

BTW, as I have told you many times (and most Arabs agree with me), Arab Jews are our own brethren. We consider them Arabs. Them believing in Judaism (a fellow Semitic and Abrahamic religion) like some Arabs have done before the time of Prophet Muhammad (saws) does not make them non-Arabs. Similarly a piece of paper (Israeli passport) will not change their origins let alone when the Israeli entity is less than 70 years old.

You should be happy that "your" athlete was allowed a presence in UAE and allowed to compete. That is more than you can do for the Palestinians whose ancestral homeland you continue to evict despite international condemnation and judicial as well.

  A pair of Israeli judokas won bronze medals at the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Judo tournament on Saturday, bringing Israel’s total count to five at the event marked by the host’s refusal to play the Israeli national anthem or fly the Israeli flag for medal-winning Israeli athletes at the competition.
  
  In the men’s over 100 kilograms (220 pounds) category, Olympic medalist Or Sasson finished third after defeating Benjamin Harmegnies of Belgium.

  Earlier, Peter Paltchik won the bronze in the men’s under 100 kilograms category after beating Hungary’ Miklós Cirjenics.
  
  Neither Sasson nor Paltchik wore Israeli symbols on their uniforms during the medal winning matches.
  
  As with his compatriots, Israel’s flag was not flown as Paltchik and Sasson stood on the podium to receive their medals.
  
  “As you can see I don’t have the flag,” Sasson said speaking after the ceremony, pointing the bare patch on his chest where the other competitors had their national flag. “But my heart is always, always with the state of Israel. I hope I made you proud and I will always continue to represent you with pride,” he said.
  
  Paltchik spoke of his pride in representing Israel.
  
  “I’m pleased to have won a medal after such a long day and pleased to have represented my country, particularly here in Abu Dhabi,” he said. “I’m proud to represent the the country, I love the country, with or without a flag.”
  
  Israel’s latest medal in the tournament came after a string of snubs of the Israeli delegation at the tournament, including the refusal of an Emirati judoka to shake the hand of the Israeli rival who defeated him on Friday.
  
  Israel’s Tohar Butbul, competing in the men’s lightweight (66-73 kg) category, came up against the UAE’s Rashad Almashjari in the first round. After being defeated by Butbul, Almashjari refused the customary handshake with the Israeli.
  
  Butbul went on to win a bronze medal in his category — by defeating Italy’s 2016 Olympic gold medalist; it was Israel’s third medal in the competition.
  
  The no-handshake episode was reminiscent of one that occurred during the 2016 Summer Olympics, when Egyptian judoka Islam El Shahaby refused to shake hands with Or Sasson after being defeated by the Israeli, and only begrudgingly made the obligatory end-of-match bow after being being called back to the mat by the referee.

  On Thursday, event organizers refused to play the Israeli national anthem or display the Israeli flag when Israeli judoka Tal Flicker won the gold medal in the men’s under-66kg category.

  Flicker sang out his own private “Hatikvah” under the International Judo Federation’s (IJF) flag, as the federation’s anthem played in the background.
  
  On the women’s side Thursday, Gili Cohen won bronze in the under-52 kilograms (114 pounds) class. The Israeli flag was not flown on her behalf either.
  
  The entire Israeli team was required to compete without any Israeli identifying symbols, and had been told before the tournament that there would be no acknowledgement of their home country — a discriminatory policy imposed solely on the Israeli competitors.
  
  The ban on Israeli symbols came despite the IJF’s demand before the tournament that the UAE treat Israeli athletes equally.
  
  A letter from the IJF to the president of the UAE Judo Federation said “all delegations, including the Israeli delegation, shall be treated absolutely equally in all aspects, without any exception.”
  
  Israeli judokas were also banned from displaying any Israeli symbols at a 2015 tournament in Abu Dhabi.
  
  There was no word yet as to what repercussions, if any, would be taken against the UAE for its actions.

Funny enough from what I have red, the Israelis of Arab origin are even more nationalistic /pro Israel than the pure Israeli Jews themselves. Maybe because they see the state of their Muslim brethren in the region or something, I can't tell which one.

  The United Arab Emirates’ top judo official apologized to his Israeli counterpart Saturday after a tournament in Abu Dhabi saw Israeli athletes repeatedly snubbed by their hosts because of their nationality.
  
  Mohammad Bin Thaloub Al-Darei, president of the UAE’s Judo Federation, and Aref Al-Awani, another senior Emirates sports official, apologized to Israeli Judo Association head Moshe Ponte over the fact that an athlete from the UAE refused to shake hands with an Israeli judoka after a match during the several-day tournament, according to a statement from the International Judo Federation.
  
  
• Darei and Awani “apologized because of the UAE athletes not shaking hands with the Israel athletes and also congratulated the Israel team for their success here,” IJF president Marius Vizer said. He called the move a “gesture of courage.”
  
  On Friday, the UAE’s Rashad Almashjari refused to shake hands after losing to Israeli Tohar Butbul in the first round of the men’s lightweight (66-73 kg) category.
  
  Butbul went on to win bronze, one of several medals won by Israelis at the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam judo tournament.

  “Sometimes with courage, respect and politeness, you can solve tensions and conflicts, which have not been solved since many decades. I consider, that even without the flag and anthem of Israel, that their team have been treated very well with high respect during this event,” he said.
  
  Israel’s Ynet news website reported that the group agreed that Israeli symbols would be permitted at the event next year, but there was no confirmation of this. Vizer only expressed hopes that “in the near future we can achieve the best condition of participation for the Israel teams.”
  
  “Such delicate issues between countries, governments and nations cannot be solved overnight and cannot be solved through the sport immediately,” Vizer said. “In the last years the IJF has made a lot of work and important steps for the participation and recognition of the Israeli team in countries like Morocco and Emirates and I hope soon we can break down more barriers for more tolerance between countries and nations to express the real value of the sport, friendship unity and solidarity.”
  
  Israeli athletes regularly face discrimination when competing abroad against athletes from countries critical of Israel.
  
  In the 2016 Summer Olympics, Egyptian judoka Islam El Shahaby refused to shake hands with Sasson after being defeated by the Israeli, and only begrudgingly made the obligatory end-of-match bow after being being called back to the mat by the referee. He was later removed from the tournament for refusing to follow protocol.
