Demolish Jinnah House and Build Cultural Centre in Mumbai: BJP MLA

.
That doesn't change the fact that he is not wrong, is he? Given people constantly demonizing liberals in Pakistan, not to mention the history of main establishment for mistreatment against Jinnah's sister.

Why expect Indians to respect Jinnah (R.A) when the main establishment didn't even respect his sister and violated the vision of Allama Iqbal (R.A) and dream of Jinnah (R.A)?

Irrespective of how Pakistan treated his family and failed to live up to his vision I think India should preserve the home
He didn't partition his family..Any Muslim with little dignity won't allow his daughter to marry some Parsi...That was the reason of family partitioned ..
He disown his daughter because of this so there was no question of convincing her to come pakistan..
for me blood line is a little stronger than religion

It would do better for nations in S. Asia, Pakistan/India/Bangladesh to respect the residences and buildings of each other's national heroes and leaders.

Rather than get into a back and forth about partitions among family and national vision, which both sides are beginning to abandon.

I agree

Indians may not agree with anything Jinnah did. But we recognize Pakistan as a state. It does not cost much to maintain his residence as a museum.

. . . .
Demolish it.
I care less either way

the pakistani government has been requesting possession of the home. the indian government has not said NO but delayed their response to the pakistani government

Demolish the house. Do it tomorrow.

All it takes one mad man to undo all the hard work and precisely undoing all the hard work of the economical policy in 90s that built India economically successful.

what makes you think the economics policy of the 1990s made India successful ?

your basic point is true - it is easy to destroy something

That is where real change started; reformed economical policy.

Yes, easy to destroy because of mad man thanks to majority of India that voted for mad man.

Just over 30% of India voted for Modi. The same as Margret Thatcher got when she took power from Labour. But that is democracy, at least the way first past the post system works. Thatcher changed Britain forever with that vote.

Jinnah saab's principles of liberism, secularism and the constitution he wanted to were dumped to dustbin by some guys.

The new nation he made and dreamt of is not nothing like Jinnah wanted.

The great lady who was there with Jinnah at every step he took in his life Madar-e-Pakistan Fatima Jinnah was abused and called traitor by a man ( who also is doubted to be behind conspiracy of her sudden death) who ruled the nation is considered as hero in their History book.

And its IRONY that people from same nation except BJPians to be respectful to Jinnah's house in India.

By the way BJP MLA's wishes will not be taken seriously by indian authorities. Jinnah House will be untouched and may become a historic heritage in coming decades.

And in the same way dose India today represent the Gandhi's India...... ????

Should be left for historians, as a symbol of events turned and what not. Make it a place where historians can learn and visit. Its not like demolishing it will bring any good
