Delhi vs Beijing?

Indians often talk about how Mumbai will surpass Shanghai in the future, but little is said about Delhi vs Beijing.

What do our Indian members here think? Will Delhi surpass Beijing in the near future? What are your predictions?

Delhi has a lot to go infra wise, before anybody can remotely compare it to Beijing.
but then, cities are much more than glass behemoths and swanky cars on buttersmooth roads.

Compared to Beijing, Delhi has a some catching up to do. How soon can Delhi surpass Beijing?

stupid thread, we all know Beijing is 30 years ahead of Delhi. heck Islamabad is better than Delhi.
having been to all 3 cities i would say first place goes to Beijing, second to Islamabad and third to Delhi.

note Dehli is bigger than Islamabad and more densely populated which results in a more less hygienic environment

To give you an estimate, the current Head of state govt in Delhi (Chief minister) has said - we will make Delhi as good as London (mind you, he has just 3 years of remaining tenure).

I would appreciate Delhi more if Delhi can keep a clean environment. As the capital of last dynasty of China, the destruction of BJ rampart is the biggest tragedy. I personally dislike, even hate modern buildings. If BJ's old buildings and layout were reserved, it would be one of the most brilliant culture centers of the world. China should have developed new region outside old BJ when RPC was established.

Lahore looks like one of those bombed out cities, barely any greenery, hardly any tall buildings.

Yes..renovation .. plantation woukd be done after completion thts end of this year
