Odd even started in Delhi. Day 2 updates being posted.

These are only specific gas levels, not particulate levels. Most gas levels are ok.

No, these gasses were never a big problem. PM 2.5 and PM 10 are. They define the AQI(air quality index). And its getting worse.

PM, particulate matter. PM which are small are bad, as it reaches deep inside the lungs. These PM levels are quite high and getting worse.

As per the conservative estimates there are some 85 lakh vehicles in the NCT. Of these the exempted vehicles are: 1. 55 lakh two wheelers. 2. women driving alone or accompanied by kids under 12 3. Cars driven by the physically disabled 4. Hybrid and electric cars CNG vehicles 5.Cars with diplomatic and defense ministry license plates 6.Army and police vehicles 7. Some officials’ cars (including the president, vice president and prime minister’s convoys) 8.Transport department vehicles 9.Paramilitary forces 10. Members of Parliament 11.Chief Justice of India 12.Judges of India's Supreme Court, and high courts 13. Vehicles of registered lawyers, doctors and traders Taking the list of exempted vehicles to 70 lakh. So add to it 9 lakh vehicles who will come out on the street any given day So the final exemption is of 9 lakh vehicles which will be hitting the regular commuters on a regular basis and the farmers practising mechanized agriculture using tractors. #congratsdelhi
