Delhi Muslims protest over mosque demolition

People from delhi would remember how the Naraina flyover was delayed for many years because of illegal encroachment by a temple.

This has become a business now. In my locality, there was an illegal slum area on govt land. When the municipal corporation came to demolish it, an overnight Sai Baba temple opened up. Every other building was demolished except for the temple (for obvious reasons). Today, that small temple is accompanied by almost 10 shops on the illegal land which are "inside the temple premises" which sell everything, including, would you believe it, booze.

To hell with people's religious sensitivity. Its a torture everywhere in India. You cannot study or sleep peacefully during temple festival seasons with the glaring loud speakers. They close down roads and coerce money. Nothing can be done because it will hurt their precious religious sensitivity. You gotta do what you gotta do!

.
The hell with pollution.. let a few worshippers get turned into pancakes by some sporting fellow..and the relocation idea wont sound that bad.

this people are so blinded with religion that they will ask to relocate highways but wont relocate the temple or mosque.:rofl::rofl:

.
They don't listen.

There is a Islamic religious structure in the middle of the road,in my area, when authorities made such an offer,it was rejected. The authorities built speedbreakers to prevent any collisions/daamge to the structure.

Islamic religious structure in the middle of the road??? whats that nowhere i have seen any Mosque in the middle of the road except some deities put along side a road symbolising mandir in India

if the govt has a will it can be. as i mentioned before we have even relocated a shrine of a "saint" here in Peshawar for road expansion as well as a mosque though there were protest rallies but our NWFP governor was determined to develop the area

. . .
It's possible to do some things in a monotheistic society which are not possible in a multi-religious democracy.

thats because muslims are not minority in your country and here we have democracy so whenever you try taking down any religious building some local leader will raise that topic and project it as a injustice to that particular community just for sake of votes. and how is government being unfair to that religion.

if hindu fanatics can raze historical Babri Mosque and snatch the land then talk of democracy is just an excuse
