Delhi Metrino Project to start in 2 months

Well After seeing huge crowd in Delhi Metro Don't you think this Metrino will be of no use?? How many people can fit in ??

This will be a lot cheaper than Metro

I would agree with you that 50 percent reduction in power was a bit far fetched other then that they have been in power for one year and you asking them to show the proof of their work is like asking Modi to give us the proof of acche din even before his policies are yet to become fruitful or asking him to show us the data of black money returning even before he struck a contract with the swiss govt. for the exchange of info on the account holders.
Even the americans are prasing the mohalla clinics but it will take more then that for you to appreciate the good work.
And no I am not a apptard nor I am advertising aap policies here.
If you want to compare delhi with lalu-nitish Bihar and thats too on education specially after the recent topper debacle then it is the end of the discussion here which I think will be good for this thread for it is about matrino pods and not aap or bjp.

Dude as a Delhi wala I can tell you that we are fucked, we have daily power cuts of 3-4 hours which was unheard in past. I miss Congress government

I don't get the meaning of this metrino, public bicycle system is the most internationally recommended approach to cover the last 1km connection from stations to communities. Or simply get some community mini bus, here in my city we have a lot of 3-5km long community bus lines that connect communities to subway stations and malls.

Lol are you kidding me! The Delhi govt. Doubled the spending on education and also increased the amount it spends on healthcare benifits in its annual budget along with it free water and low cost of electricity is a necessity in the 21st century and that is not muft khori in my dictionary. Everybody knows the state of govt schools and not the free meals or the free cycle to ride to the school is going to improve that. Govts must spend in improving the infra and the quality of education to bring a change.
I want to see one infra project completed by the Delhi government from end to end , starting from conceptualization, to tender, designing, implementation and opening . I am also waiting for my free wifi in whole delhi. I am also waiting for chargesheets to be pressed against Shiela Dixit. I am still waiting....

It is better to use google or ask people who know better than you, when you do not know anything about an issue.

Since last budget, state governments have been allocated 10% more revenue as share from central revenue pool ,as per directives of 14th finance commission, while at the same time (by directives of same commission), center has rolled back on financing primary and secondary education ,the tab of which is being picked up by state govt (by directives of same commission). What you are describing an increase is account juggling (transferring Central burden for education to state along with appropriate increase in revenue share) aimed at weak minded, emotional, and ignorant people.

And YES: Free water and cheap electricity is muftkhori par excellence. Water is finite source, and by reducing its cost you are promoting wastage. + Water subsidy is bankrupting DJB and actually harming those who do not have piped supply; as DJB losing money means that it would not have capital to extend its pipeline network.

Electricity subsidy is even more indefensible. Producing electricity need resources, none of them are free.If you subsidize electricity, you would either have to make it up by taxpayers money, or live with blackouts as utilities does not have money to buy electricity for 24X7. I am living in Delhi for past 11 years and this year has been worst as far as blackouts are concerned.

+ Delhites do not deserve any subsidy; period. They are quite rich by Indian standards, and it is shame that people here vote like dogs who would wag their tail for some bones thrown by master after master has cleaned up meat off Chicken leg.

I too am not a congress supporter, but even I believe that Shiela government was angelic compared to this retarded buffon.

Let Punjabis elect AAP. This party of lunatics would make all those Sardar jokes come true.

Perhaps this is a pilot project which will become launch pad for wider adoption of 'Metrino' systems in India, like how Delhi metro was a launchpad, now we have Metro systems in many cities & more such systems are being constructed. Also, disregard for Public property in India will not let 'cycle' system succeed. There are a few success stories in elitist neighborhoods though

I am not kidding, in my area(Rajouri garden) there has been at least 2 power cuts since the start of the day.

Hope it can succeed then we all can use it without risks. :)

Concerning public bike, just make it free but with $50 deposit, and hire a person at each bike station where he/she can also sell newspaper and drinks (so he/she should look after bikes "voluntarily")

btw, this is a poorly designed public bike station in my city, which blocks the bikeway.

Besides the Public contempt of Public property(Irony is strong here) there is also a image problem for Bikes in India. Most people think it is means of travel for the poorest of the poor & prefer walking over biking even in extreme heat and please your are being very humble that looks like a fairly good Bike station looks like your humility is exceeded only by the arrogance of your fellow Chinese members :p:

I think it is poorly designed because it has occupied the bikeway and it may bring trouble to wheelchairs and cleaning trucks. My city was dubbed as big county city years ago by a PM in 1990s for poor management and ill urban design like this. We hate him very much even until today.

I dont live in delhi but I have close relatives their so I make frequent visits. If you have any info about the misuse of funds by the govt. representatives then please do share it with us as you are too confident that the increased investment in education by the govt. wont be much fruitful because of the implementation.
I am much more older then you think and I know which media house to trust and who is more biased then the others. Here have a good read

And I wouldn't be surprised if you call this article baised as you have already said much about your choice with kalmadi as your preference over the current govt. The guy who brought shame to the country in the international arena by wasting loads of money in corruption.

ROFLMAO, you dont even live in Delhi and some of your "relatives" said something and you just read over AAP page and take it as face value!!! You trolled me badly, I should not have entertained you at all, I hate fanboys without any knowledge of ground reality.

Do I need to quote what Washington Post published about India? Are they all unbiased? Its written by Vivek Wadhwa, Give me 50 Lakhs not even 1 corer of 526 Crores and they will be singing praises of new clock in ghanta ghar tower of Ghaziabad.

How that clock is saving thousands of lives and helping everyone in world. I am sorry I called you 12 or 13 years you are older, may be 14? I hope I am making you look older by 6 months.

That looks very good and it has been a success in many countries around the world.
In Delhi the ideal next step would have been to go for mono rail. While delhi metro rail is fantastic the BRTS could be further improved.
Delhi metrino will be a bit like london eye, a good tourist attraction only it will also be used in transportation along with the sight seeing.

A fanboy, Seriously! After all the lenghty discussion you think I am a fanboy. If supporting something good led you to think that I am a fanboy then I had fair opportunities to term you otherwise in the above discussion.
I do not hate someone because he's short, black or he coughs a lot or as some members suggest that he constantly itches himself or above all wears a sandals. You havent been in this forum during that time when people used to call AK an anarchist or a opportunist using Anna as a steping stone in his political career but they all ran away when Shazia Iilmi and Kiren Bedi joined BJP.
Perhaps you will think logically when you'll be finished predicting my age. Which I dont know how is relevant in the context of the discussion.
Cheers.

I'd much rather prefer govt try to reduce the pollution in Delhi rather than spending money on this.:(

He himself called him anarchist, there is no debate about that and he is an opportunist and so is Ilmi and Bedi, anyone who embrace power or status to give up the cause or ideology is an opportunist.

Cheers.

It is relevant as you are taking everything as described in an advert by a "political party" not govt. If Delhi govt. releases a press release it hold value not AAP ads. If Center govt. release a press release it holds value and not BJP ads.

Its relevant as you think Washington Post or NYT or Politico or any such major publication cant be biased and bought however they themselves declare it that they are bought by endorsing a particular candidate in election and criticizing other in biased manner.

I got no problem with AK, if he does good, he got my vote but he should not lie, is is CM now, not in opposition to lie. Secondly I hate that holier than though attitude in which they claim to be different from others and do exactly what others do, how they are different then?

This all clarity comes with experience, after you see things yourself, else its just chest thumping and drum beating without any substance like that stupid book that claims that Nehru stopped India's NSG entry.

Disclaimer: I hate congress distorted ideology most.

Both are true, their are daily power cuts minimum 1 hour, besides their are people who still support him majorly from lower middle class due to subsidies.

What ideology did he gave up? Anti-corruption? Has he become utterly corrupt after becoming one of the political class.
After the jan-lokpal was passed the IAC members were not happy because there were many loopholes in it planted by the govt. and the alikes in the parliament. Forming a political party was a collective decision but anna and bedi left it midway. Atleast AK did not joined BJP or Congress as they were opposed to them all the way since the RTI fight.

Do you have any link to what you said above? If not then dont make such claims. Media is baised in the national politcs but did the Washington post article said anything against any other national party in India? At best they praised the mohalla clinics and compare it to the American healthcare system I dont know how that is biased and I also dont know how that made you think that I am a 14 year old and makes it relevant.
