I hear that the government is also purchasing a submarine and several used APC's from Ukraine. The government has certainly increased defence procurement but these will be bought through a company owned by Gen. Tareq Siddique. He is brother-in-law of Sheikh Rehena.

This is third time the same BDmil propaganda has been posted here. So question to Raquib, do you have any reliable source to back up this claim. Lets put it this way if you can prove all these are true I will buy you lunch.
Without WMDs you will need BMs in huge numbers to act as a deterrent.
However if you wanna knock out Burma's Airforce on the ground the best way is to develop Cruise Missiles(They are very expensive) then use those cruise missiles for precision, pre-emptive strike on all the Burma's Airfields or use anti-runway warhead on cruise missiles to render the runways useless.
Once done Burma's airforce would be effectively neutralized.Once airfoce is finished you can fight toe to toe with army.Which i think could lead to a successful defense of BD.
If you wanna get rid of burma and even Indian Claims on bay of Bengal just manage 1 billion Euros and get 3 German type 214.World's most quietest sub at present.These are the same subs Pakistan tried to get.
Once you have these subs you can just wipe out any naval ship of Burma.Heck with a help of a few corvettes and these subs you can even maintain a blockade of burma.But for defense subs are more than enough.You can even defend Bay of Bengal from India by these Subs.Because India's at present don't have many subs and certainly not advanced as type 214 morever most of their focus is towards Pakistan so they can never apply their full force on bay of Bengal.
This is the most cheap way u can defend BD successfully against any aggression.

again, read my previous post. but just to elaborate.
BMs are best at hitting large, stationary targets. they can also hit moving targets like an army on the march or a slow ship at sea, depending on the guidance received.
but to act as a real deterrent, a BM needs to be able to deliver a punch that the enemy is just not willing to suffer. And that means causing a lot of damage. like taking out a city. or a huge portion of their armed forces. and this is simply not possible without WMDs.
But that doesn't mean BMs don't have a use on their own. There are some very high priority targets that a BM can take out that will cause a lot of damage, even without WMDs. But the problem is, BMs can only be used like this against enemies that don't possess WMDs
lets take Iran as an example. They have a lot ballistic missiles that can hit targets in israel or the arab world. and that makes them a threat. if they hit the port of Haifa with enough missiles, it can cause some serious problems for Israel. Also, the BM is not a precision weapon, so can cause civillian casualities. But when such a high priority target is taken out, Israel might just react with nukes. Thats why BMs, even when not used in a WMD role, should be used only as a last ditch effort.
But BM research is essential for any country looking to go nuclear. They are the best way to deliver WMDs. So unless Bangladesh has nuclear ambitions, they don''t need BMs.
On the other hand, if Bangladesh wishes to hit targets with precision, they should look for cruise missiles.

By proclaiming the BD military a childish forum, you are proving yourself a child yourself. You criticize that forum because you may not be regarded as fit to join that forum with your stupid posts. Or. you have already been expelled from there?
BD Military Forum is full of military officers who have the first-hand knowledge about BD logistics and military procurements by BD govt. Did not know you are recruit of bdmil juvi troll. Show the valid proof of your budget claim before making false propaganda. Real and active military officers do not talk in open forum.
And about Awami league, problem is not me; I am just posting what they are doing. If you are utterly exposed and shamed you should go and ask awami stookes to get their act togather.
