If it were up to me, i would take Mr. 10% and put him incharge of some business firm. The guy is a good businessman not a leader.

We sometimes confuse biz with corruption. These good for nothings would be good for nothing wherever you put them

-- IA is regularly returning sanctioned money back to Gov. Last year they returned 5000 cr.

-- Procurement policy is in total mess. No major procurement in last 20 years for IA.

-- North eastern policy is in total mess

-- MCRA still is nowhere

-- Bureaucracy is still rampant

There are so many things I can write about the failure of mr. anthony but you can judge for yourself

I agree, That process is slow. Sometime, Authority are pathetic. But it's System and Congress government. Anthony is doing fine. India has really started it's defence modernization for last few years only once he become defence minister.

Not really Mirage2k after upgrade will become one of the high quality jets. The upgrade will change almost completely. Due to our decade experience, we want to keep to maintain Air-Superiority. It was expensive deal, because most of the changes. it will be operational for next 20 years too.

5,000 Crore is Just 1.1 billion $. Defence budget is some 35-40 Billion $. Few things get delayed from the schedule. That's why.

I agree, we are behind China in Infrastructural development still, We are improving slowly and gradually. 75% Infra development will be completed by 2013. Many militray equipment, Missiles and Jets are deployed and will improve going forward. We need more rapid development which i also agree.

Ya, it's bit late i suppose. I also heard 2-3 years back. A Pathetic slow process. Still, We have Sukhoi 30 MKI better than our threat. So, Yes we need MRCA as soon as possible. But Still, we have Air Superiority.

Don't post Crap. Indigenous has been big success. Akash, Agni, Shaurya, LCH, Dhruv, Arjun, and many many more has been successful. LCA will be inducted within 18 months. 50% works has been completed.

India need is huge. We are buying from Russia, Israel and Europe and also some from U.S. But we need to have strong Defence Industry in order to complete our requirement. We are doing fine.

I am not off the topic again. I have just listed out his failure as a defense minister of India. Procuring substandard material at a high rate is account for corruption and in case of defense it is more of a treason. Indian armed forces are literally begging for better and quick procurement policies but this government is not listening to them. INS vikramditya is an another example. we are paying 2.3 bn $ for that. Let assume that he is not corrupt but he is very incompetent for sure.

I thought this thread was about his total assets. Why are you pointing to his compentancy? Why are you side tracking the issue. You commented on why his wife had more to her name than he has and now you are discussing his judgement? Why are you yet again off topic Praful? Its beyond a joke now. I am unable to comment about his decision making as i have no knowledge but will assume he has constraints that he works within. Primarily the most important issue is he is not a corrupt politician!
