That's why we are a third world country and always will be.$9 billion increase ? Normally this does not include military pensions or other services .
Great news regardless. Education, health and other socialist stuff can wait.
Is 9 billion an increase or total pak defence budget?
Your link is saying 34.801 is projected from 30.672, thats a huge jump of about 15%. :ORs900 billion defence budget 2016-17 will mean 2.6% of Pakistan GDP. Pak GDP 2016-17 Rs 34.801 trillion ($332 billion).

F-16 will only come if US provides the funding for them. If PAF has to spend money, then there are many other options available. The problem is not that US does not want to sell F-16 to Pakistan but they are not sponsoring its purchase as per the agreement between the two states.Nops South Korea is ahead of Pakistan. Currently Pakistan is In 7th in Manpower, and 13th in overall
So, 8 F-16s are coming
in 2015 GDP was 270 billion, according to IMF. so 7.52 billion(budget for 2015-2016) is actually 2.78% of the economy. the GDP for 2016 is yet to be calculated.umm, dat makes its 3.50% of your GDP. DAMN.

Conscription based army is pretty common in areas where population is low. I just quoted the numbers sir, which at the end of the day is what matters. Isnt it?Their army is conscription based.....You do realise Pakistan's 600,000 plus are all career soldiers right?
New Recruit
Global Firepower did not updated every category eg. look at their list on tanks it is from 2014. They just changed their calculation system and ranked countries according to the data that they have.I have quoted you as per Global firepower numbers, which is of 2016 update. SSD raising will change the number or not, that I have no idea. Anyways good for you guys. Btw is % increased on GDP?
Global fire power is not valid source ......
pu bro let it go he might be in dreamsAfter raising SSD Pakistan is slightly ahead of South Korea in shear numbers of active troops in Military.......
