His military career was quite checkered, his military planning and execution of the failed Jalalabad Attack led to his being sacked by the GoP.

He was called "Baba-e-Taliban", just as he advised Al-Qaeda, but his financial dealings always remained cloudy. The explosion in the ISI run Ammo dump in Ojhri Camp which killed over 4000 Paksitanis (by some accounts) had mysterious connections to Gul. Stinger missiles stored at Ojhri were traced to various parts of the world and used in terrorist attacks.


Gul died of brain hemorrhage on 15th August, 2015 at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Murree; ironically while India celebrated Independence day.

Pakistan's top patriotic general died, everyone of us are human, we can see character of certain people who are talking bad of a dead man who cant respond back. When he was alive, when he was in uniform, when he was leading a retired life,he spoke his mind hard, all for Pakistan,all targeting Pakistan's enemies.
