Decoding what U.S. wants from India

India and US are business just partners in terms of economy and defence, but not friend neither ally.

The reason for us to be ally or friend is the democratic values and commitment to Human rights. If we can reach to some reconciliation than definitely we can push our partnership into friendship and ally. This ally shall have a synergetic effect in which both parties shall be the gainer.

Both Democracy and Human rights commitments mean hardly anything to US . The number of dictators they supported and number of genocides they wilfully and consciously ignored in their own interests is well known .

Only reconciliations possible is to join their fold and toe their line .

US expects India to be its poodle like other allies . does India want that ?

Spot on ,US government see's every other nation (except Israel may be) as a tool , and creates problem for other nations for its own (mostly corporate pay masters) personal gain.

Agreed I am all for greater relations with the US but not at the expense if Russia or our Sovereignty

US is not powerful enogh to do that now. It will be a new relation based of need of each other. Certainly, India under modi shall not bow down to US in any case.

As you know , they have only weapons , and Russia has counter for all the weapons , so mostly war would need ground forces and that is where India's Billion people population comes in handy to act as foot soldiers for ground offensive
against Russia and China

This is the real reason why USA i trying to woo India

Lets face it (China + Russia + Pakistan + Turkey) One side , and that is 60% of world population right there !!!

The question is will India , backstab Russia in this critical time when there is attack on Russian economy and its people !! by economic sanctions

The biggest obstacle between an Indo-US alliance is Russia and our dependence upon it. This unfortunately means that India even if wants to, can never truly embrace the West and form alliances.

Bring out the papers on Russia and its role on Nehru....and then watch everything fall in place!

The same problem exists in US as well bro. See how many technologies have been stolen by China from US. Thats not the reason. US following the legacy of BS. Its true that they have changed little bit in last 10 years like we have got many systems without CISMOA-hismoa etc. But long way to go.

They must understand that India is not UK or Japan, so its different to deal with. From our side we have to keep away non-alignment BS though. Because no one in this world is non-aligned now. We have to face reality.
