This is only partly true. The courts have nothing to do with letting CMs and MPs roll around in 40+ car cavalcades do they? The courts have nothing to do with parties using groups of thugs to close down shops and enforcing a mandatory mourning period over a mega city. The Indian people DO have a major part to play in this sir. And I am not talking about you or necessarily any Indian on PDF it is the uneducated masses who are used and manipulated by equally uneducated and ignorant "politicians" to suit their own needs. The fact that the too often there is no public outcry for certain actions that policitans do that are wrong and this only empowers these effers to do it again and again. You can't blame the courts for this and if the courts were as bad as you make out then they wouldn't be sentencing serving minsters to jail time or going after CMs for crimes. The poltiicans are a reflection on the society they serve. I am telling you as more and people get educated in India and the ignorant masses become less and less populous the politics in India will improve manifold.


For eg here in the UK there was MASSIVE uproar over MP's expenses and we're talking a few 1000 Pounds nothing huge and this lead to many ministers resiging or being fired and facing criminal action. This had very little to do with the court system in the UK but the public pressure because the UK public expect their politicans to be clean (that's not always the case but this is what is expected) and in contrast you see in India where the mis-use of funding by politcans is in the MILLIONS of USD and this is pretty much just accepted by the masses.

WRONG. In the US or UK if any official decide to abdicate his responsibility and trample the rights of the citizen by blocking traffic for all MP's and allowing thugs to enforce 'band' they would be in JAIL for a very long time sentence by their COURTS.

All masses Educated/uneducated are 'manipulated' by Media/Advertisement/Politicians all over the world. Education has nothing to do with it. 'Religion' manipulates 'Educated' folks into preventing abortion. 'Media/Politicians' manipulate 'Educated' people into Mass Killing/Wars.

Pretty much every problem we face in India is due to the failure of Judiciary.

Its the few honest bureaucratic, fewer honest politicians and Fewer still honest media which is holding up India.

Even though I have some reservations on the article such as the exclusive focus on the post victory "pogrom" and just a passing reference to the atrocities of the Razakars who started the bloodletting by massacring Hindus, I am willing to over look that and agree with the quoted part if it is not just limited to the "Sunderlal report" and we get to study history as it is - without any sanitization and whitewashing. As a start, start telling the truth about the massacre of Hindus in the moplah rebellion which is now transformed into some sort of a independence struggle.

There is no way an massacre of 50k-200k can be kept a secret. Any sane person would know that. As soon as Hyderabad was liberated many media orgs did go there. They didnt find anything unusual. Not to forget, the British was still there in Hyderabad and India in '48.
There would be a lot of missing person protest etc. Moreover if true, Muslim organisations wouldnt keep quiet. Native muslims know the situation on ground on what happened. Why silent then?

baba ji, a hindu reprisal was there. But it was a reprisal. They were preyed upon by the Razakars who did not want to join India and they retaliated. If somebody is to be blamed it is the Qasim Rizvi turd..I've heard even some hyderabadis say if Bahadur Yar Jung had been there things would not have gone to that point... and even now there is a slight disagreement between the Telengana muslims and marathwada muslims because of that...
