Bharatiya Janata Party veteran Murli Manohar Joshi on Friday called for Pakistan to be declared a 'terrorist state', adding that Islamic Republic is the 'birthplace of all terror operations.
"They [the people convicted of the Mumbai terror attacks] should have all been caught and handed over to India. Pakistan is the birthplace of terrorism and the command centre of all terror attacks that take place in India, originate in that nation," Joshi told the media.
The BJP leader was reacting to 26/11 terror attack accused Zaki Ur Rehman Lakhvi obtaining bail from an Islamabadanti-terror court.
Joshi further stated that all terror attacks that India suffers originate in Pakistan.
"I have time and again made clear that on the international stage, Pakistan should be declared as a terrorist nation and the country should be treated in the same way. Pakistan exports terror not only in South Asia but also aids terrorists across the world," he said.
On Thursday, Pakistan's anti-terror court granted bail to Lakhvi. According to reports in The Dawn, Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency's prosecutor had disagreed with the bail plea, but the court released Lakhvi with surety bonds worth Pakistan Rs 5,00,000.
