'Death sentence to Italian marines will be an act of war'

.
The Supreme court of India has no political affiliation. The govt of India can't influence it. It would be interesting to see if the govt decides to try them under the maritime anti terrorism act which contains a death penalty. But my guess is that won't be invoked. They would still be tried for murder and if convicted they would be given a prison sentence. They might be able to serve their time in Italy.

It would be naive to think politics will not be involved (if it already hasnt been), my guess is that by now some party goons have already been protesting the issue widely, some parties may already have pushed the government against the wall by claiming it is not doing enough and other indirect methods may also be used, thats just plain politics mate, the present government may also was a persecution to end its term on a strong note of making the ''goras'' pay etc....Cheers

we show our might evry day when we use your people as test subjects for medical tests and as slave workers. Dont you think? We have a label here that our corporations use to show, that tjey dont use indian children as slave workers. Some corporations like KiK and C&A ignore it unfortunately. I personal dont want stiff that was produced from childwork. :) im fair.

What a MIGHT mate........shown on innocent children :disagree:

It's actually very new. If this was 20 years ago, these marines would be making babies in Italy now.
they already have children in italy, waiting for their fathers return home.

There will be none. Otherwise the marines would have returned home by now. There was no election two years ago. If you don't know it already, there was an out of court settlement from the Italian govt with the families of the victims (similar to Raymind Davis blood money!) and they agreed to drop all their charges. But the supreme court didn't. SC blasts court over 'pact' with Italy govt : India, News - India Today

The best that the Indian govt can do is to charge them with normal IPC instead of invoking the anti terrorism act. After that they would have no control over the judgement.

and sparing india - where one too many babies are made :D

Yeah but still less than Pakistan.

Sad for the kids, but then the fishermen had their families too.

the fishermen attacked our ship, did not listen to warnings. we have the right to defend ourself against attackers.

. . .
Tell that to Indian court.. and attack you with what fishing rods?? and what were they doing in indian waters??

They speeded towards our ship. A similar attack was done to the USS Cole in yemeni waters in 2001. Our marines protect our ships against pirates and terroriste in the indian ocean.
